1931 Ford Model A Roadster Pickup Truck

Rare Roadster Pickup Desirable Red exterior 201 cid inline 4 cylinder engine 3-speed manual transmission Residing with the same family for 16 years! 12 volt conversion

MotoeXotica is pleased to announce our latest addition, beautifully restored 1931 Ford Model A roadster pickup that has resided with the same family for 16 years. Ford's Model A was the company's first model to feature today's "standard" operator controls, he pedal and wheel layout on the previous Model T's controls were more similar to a tractor. Ford advertised the Model A as the "most reliable machine in the world" which resulted in sales numbers close to five million sold worldwide.

The Model A was the first Ford to use the standard set of driver controls with conventional clutch and brake pedals, hrottle, nd gearshift. Previous Fords used controls that had become uncommon to drivers of other makes. The Model A's fuel tank was situated in the cowl, etween the engine compartment's fire wall and the dash panel. It had a visual fuel gauge, nd the fuel flowed to the carburetor by gravity. A rear-view mirror was optional. In cooler climates, wners could purchase an aftermarket cast iron unit to place over the exhaust manifold to provide heat to the cab. A small door provided adjustment of the amount of hot air entering the cab. The Model A was the first car to have safety glass in the windshield. The engine was a water-cooled L-head inline 4 -cylinder with a displacement of 201 cid. The transmission was a conventional 3-speed sliding gear manual unsynchronized unit with reverse. The Model A had 4-wheel mechanical drum brakes.

The previous owner of this Model A roadster pickup has kept the truck as true to original as possible. It has been repainted professionally with a high quality paint that endures exposure to the elements much better than the original paint. The red finish on the main body is in excellent condition with gorgeous black fenders and tan pin striping as a tasteful accent highlighting the classic lines of the vehicle. Car also has a tan convertible top, ear oak bed, parton A-Ooh-Gah horn, ord headlights, lack wire wheels with 19 inch wide whitewall tires, nd more.

Inside the well kept interior is finished in a rich tobacco brown vinyl upholstery & door panels all in great condition, s well as original steering wheel, ashboard cover with odometer and amp gauge, uel gauge inoperable, nd vent windows.

This car is equipped with a 201 cid inline 4 cylinder engine, -speed manual transmission, 2 volt conversion and mechanical front and rear drum brakes.

These Model A's are becoming increasingly hard to find in such handsome and well restored condition. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!

Current mileage on the odometer shows 46 (since restoration) it is sold as is and is mileage exempt. The truck is being sold on a clean & clear title.
