Description of 1927 Ford Model T |
Here is a very unique 1927 Ford T Model that was built in Tennessee and FEATURED IN GREASE MONKEY MAGAZINE. One of the first things that pops out at you is the Iron Duke 4 Cylinder Engine. The engine is bored 030 over Making it 153 Cubic Inches and has a 2 barrel Carb connected to a 350 Turbo Transmission. The megaphone has white heat tape wrapped around it and a Harley Davidson oil filter cover to dress up te passenger side of the engine. This Ford T is unique and surprisingly perfectly proportioned. Another pleasing part of this car are the custom bult friction shocks that hook directly to the bottom side of the solid. straight front axle that came out of a Model A Ford. The deck lid had to be re-sheeted and when this was done. the sheet metal was louvered before being welded back in. The chassis is custom fabricated out of 2X3 rectangular tubing. The rear is Z''d up 9 inches and has 4 link connecting the 1946 Ford rear end to the frame. When you look at the connection of the front axle to the frame you will find about 12 inches of leaf spring on each side that comes straight out of the front of the frame. connecting the frame to the axle. The top is chopped 8 inches in th back and 9 inches in the front. giving this Ford T a nice stance that prowls forward while in motion or sitting still. One of the most intricate parts of this build has to be the steel dash that came out of a 1953 Chevy Truck. The center portion of the dash was sectioned out at least 12 inches in order to get it narrow enough to fit into the interior of this car. The interior is Gun Metal Gray. Octagon patterned with marine vinyl upholstery. The seat bottoms sit right on the floorboards and the same material was used for the exterior of the roof. The blue wheels were painted with super high dollar. custom mixed paint that really compliments the look. This car is also For Sale locally and on other sites so auction could end early. It is being sold AS IS with no warranty given or implied in anyway. Pre Sale inspections are welcomed and encouraged BEFORE END OF AUCTION!! If you bid and reserve is met and you are high bidder at end of auction then you have bought it. Any questions please ask. I have more pics available if you want to see. Sold with a current Georgia registration as Georgia WILL NOT issue a title on a vehicle this old. You will be ale to get a title in your state with the paperwork I give you so don't worry about this. I know what to do. Thanks for looking. On Jan-05-15 at 07:28:19 PST. seller added the following information:The description out of GREASE MONKEY magazine from the guy in Tennessee who actually built this car says car has a 1946 Ford rear in the ad. I have a good pic of the rear end chunk in the pics here on ebay. I had a EBAYER KNOW IT ALL bring it to my attention in a very RUDE way so I wanted to mention it. I never want to mis lead anyone. If anything the rear may have been updated and that helps the car. |
