Description of 1927 Ford Model A Hudson Essex Super Six / Model A |
1927 Hudson Essex / Model A Rat Rod. This car was the cover car. and full spread for Rat Rod Magazine Issue #6. With a growing family its time to let it go. What you are looking at is half 1927 Hudson Essex from the B Pillar Forward and Half Model A from the B Pillar to the rear. Bodies were split and then welded together to form one. Roof was chopped and sectioned to go with the flow of both bodies. Plexiglas / Lexan was added all the way around for windows. Front windows do go down with some unique ingenuity . Heater core was added with toggle switch. Body has full metal floors welded and formed around the transmission and drive shaft. Fits a taller person comfortably. Seats are just Ford buckets. Haven't added Bomber seats yet. that was on the list. Motor is a 70's 302 that has been rebuilt. Has about 10k miles on it now. Edelbrock Carb. T18 Ford 4-speed manual Transmission. Overflow is a Crystal Skull head wrapped in a chain cage that hangs off to the side of the motor. Lake style headers with end caps. Rear end is a Ford 9" with a 4 link set up on coils and shocks. Frame is a 30's frame that has been pinched. sectioned. narrowed. Extensive work. Front is a spring over leaf with shocks on the side with mustang manual steering rack with Disc brakes added to the front. Has Clutch master and Brake master cylinder and works great. Drives down the highway with no issues. Has a Fuel Cell located in the back. Has blinkers. lights. and GPS for SpeedometerClean and Clear title goes with the car.
