Description of 1967 Ford Mustang |
Here we have a very rough 67 Mustang Fastback 2+2 project car VIN number 7T02A204493. It was original built an A code 289 4 barrel car and were not sure on the transmission option. In 1967, there were three Mustang body styles that Ford offered and this is a fastback or sport sroof model. These popular cars were set up for two passengers in the front seat and two passengers in the rear seat and that's why it's a 2+2 . Nice body lines and plenty of interior room, this body became the signature piece of the sporty Mustang line. They were also the platform for the GT 350 and GT500 Shelby's as well as the Bulitts and Eleanors which were the favorites to many even the star of Many Hollywood movies like one of our favorites "Gone in 60 seconds". We are offering this as a project car in as is condition needing a complete restoration with the previous owner giving up on the repair process after losing the title some 10 years ago. We bought it with a bill of sale and it will be offered with that bill of sale although we can help with a title service if you need one. We drug it out from a field which was overgrown with nature trying to claim this rare find. Although this does not have the original numbered motor, it does have a 289/ 302 with the 2 barrel carburetor and a automatic transmission both of which need a overhaul along with everything else. The body will need the underside replaced from sitting as well as most all the body panels. The top side is also compromised from never getting a paint job. All the factory trim, moldings, and glass are present. We added some parts that we installed for our pictures as this car was somewhat dis assembled and missing pieces when we found it. The car was a factory A code which is a 289 with a 4 barrel carb and we are sorry to say the original motor is long gone. The motor compartment area is intact and it does roll and steer. It was well optioned car with in dash air conditioned which has all the dash pieces present and it also is equipped with the power steering. The original wiring is in place as I believe it was roadworthy when parked and the running gear was removed. Should you be a buyer who is looking at a Mustang fastback Dynacorn body or want to bring this one back to life this is the great start as many of the fastback only parts are here. There are many pieces which are unavailble that are present here not to mention the pedigree of a V8 fastback. This is an in expensive example of a highly desirable vintage Ford desirable sports roof cars which would be a great deal project for someone. This car has stamping in 3 different spots so it will make for a great build although it is loaded with plenty of rust and the motor and tranny need to be rebuilt ( we suggest that they both be gone through). What you see is what you get! This would make an excellent starting point for your Eleanor or classic vintage Mustang project. Another fine project vehicle from our large selection at Mustang Masters. For more info, please call 904.724.3927 NOTE: We now have another 1967 Mustang C code Fastback. All rust has been removed down to the frame rails and anticipating a visit to the wielding shop for new sheet metal. The car is in a 1000 pieces at this time and will be offered for sell soon. If your interested in our latest project and want to get a jump on everyone else, please call and we can supply pictures. Thanks! Freddy |
