Description of 1930 Ford Model A Roadster |
Beautiful 1930 Ford Model A Roadster in excellent condition.
Fourteen years ago this car had a body off professional restoration. At the time it was professionally painted two of the most popular Model A Ford color combinations, The interior and the rumble seat upholstery is by LeBaron Bonney.
For many years the car was in storage. The car is driven about 100 miles a year, driving in parades, doing local events, and summer rumble seat rides. The odometer shows 720 miles since the restoration. Although the car has been under cover in a garage since restoration it is not perfect. There are some small nicks and a few scratches in the finish.
For the safety of myself and others directional signals were installed because many people do not understand hand signals. In addition an alternator was installed and the system converted to 12 volts to improve the headlight brightness. The car is all steel except for the trunk lid. The engine and transmission have no issues. The car starts and drives as it should. Although the car is a 1930 it is registered as a 1929 because the only serial number on the car is stamped on the engine. The engine was produced in late 1929.
Parts for the model A are very easy to find. There are over five suppliers of body and engine parts for the 1928 to 1931 model A Ford. There are also many Model A Ford clubs. For information call Jim at 443-786-2892 |
