Description of 1977 Ford Bronco

This 1977 Ford Bronco with just over 100 miles on the brand new speedometer/odometer gauge set just completed a frame - off custom rebuild that affected every piece and part of the vehicle. The no rust body was taken completely apart and was cleaned, sanded and minor body work completed prior to receiving a professional custom paint job. Following complete paint of the disassembled parts it was carefully reassembled, with Herculiner bed liner over the entire interior floor and front compartment before the carpet was installed. Herculiner was also used as door sill traction/protection and on the lower portions of the doors as kick protection. New custom leather bucket seats in front and a fold and roll bench seat in the back over the full one-piece carpet add another comfort feature. The doors include all new window tracks, new lock hardware and sound matting for noise control. The hardtop roof is also lined with sound matting above the original headliner. The windshield is new and tinted and all the windows have received tint to control solar penetration. All rubber seals in the doors, tailgate, windows, roof and window frames have been replaced. All the window tracks and seals were replaced. A Flaming River tilt steering column was installed with new connecting rods to the power steering box. Intermittent wipers are a pleasant departure from the original stock two speed wipers. Custom bumpers have been installed front and back, with tire rack on the rear and 9,000 pound winch on the front. There is a four-point roll bar installed that includes a custom low-profile dome light and custom high-lift jack and fire extinguisher mounts. The driver side ventilation air box is new, as is the heater core. There is a custom stereo system installed with speakers in the front doors and in custom mount boxes behind the front seats. The large unattractive front grill mounted turn indicators have been removed and the older style indicators have been installed into the grill for a much cleaner look. Finally, a 3.5 inch suspension lift combined with a 2 inch body lift provides ample room for the 35x12.5x17 inch Hankook Dynapro MT tires on 17 inch black steel rims, and lots of ground clearance. Four Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks in front on frame shock hoops and two on the rear provide plenty of stability on any surface. The original 302 engine was professionally rebuilt with a comp cam that provided the firing order for the EFI that has been installed. The EFI operates on a 1994 Ford Mustang computer and includes a RJM EFI harness. The fuel injection is fed from a new 21 gallon fuel cell with an internal fuel pump that supplies pressurized fuel to the fuel rail and injectors. The fuel tank is protected with a heavy duty skid plate. Both the fuel tank and the skid plate have been coated with Herculiner for protection and to reduce gravel chips. The engine also includes a high flow water pump, an aluminum radiator, a 170 amp alternator and a rebuilt Saginaw steering pump that drives the power steering. Two into one 2.5 inch Magnaflow exhaust was installed for a pleasant but not overpowering tone. The bullet-proof C-4 transmission was re-sealed and a new torque converter installed. The axles were both professionally rebuilt with 4:56 gears front and rear, Tru-Track in both axles, new brakes and emergency brake cables in the rear, new calipers and rotorsin front, 31 spline Yukon axles and bearings front and rear with a Spyder Purple Cranium differential guard on the front differential. New Premium Warn hubs were also installed. The running gear and underbody have all been cleaned and treated with POR-15 during reassembly. There are many more new parts that have not been mentioned here, all for which I have complete receipts and documentation. This Bronco is a one of a kind beauty that is as capable as it is attractive. I have many more pictures available, including those of the tear-down and rebuilding process.
