Description of 1968 Ford Bronco

If it's a stock Bronco you seek, well, we have plenty of those. But if you're looking for something that can play in the dirt with the best of them, this modified 1968 Ford Bronco might be more to your liking. More horsepower never hurts, either, and with an injected 5.0 liter V8 under the hood, this Bronco is as entertaining on the road as off.Off-roading fans seem to fall into the same groups as muscle car fans, but the Bronco seems to have an edge over its competition in terms of popularity and values. The early trucks like this are red hot in the market, and that was surely behind the build which uses top-quality components and great attention to detail to create something special. The beautiful midnight blue paint isn't stock, but it looks fantastic on the boxy sheetmetal of the vintage off-roader. The steel underneath is in excellent condition and doesn't look like it's spent much time off-road since it was completed. Much of the trim has been blacked out or painted body color, including the grille, giving it an updated look that gets a lot of attention without losing what makes these trucks so popular. Obvious upgrades include the front and rear bumpers (powdercoated black), a big Warn 8000XI winch up front, oversized Bushwhacker fender flares, and not-so-subtle '5.0' badges on the front fenders, which we'll get to in a moment. If you need to know how extensively this Bronco has been upgraded, look no farther than the incredible interior. With body-hugging bucket seats and that beefy roll cage overhead, it's a no-holds-barred off-road performer. The industrial-strength look is enhanced by the spray-in bedliner material on the floors and even on the dashboard, so you know they were serious. The factory gauges and switch gear were reused during the transformation, but the dash was reworked for a cleaner look. And for a little extra style, there's a Grant GT steering wheel on a tilt steering column, making this vintage off-roader very easy to drive. There's a fold-up seat in back, just in case you need to bring some passengers with you, and a secure steel trunk behind the seat to stow your valuables in this topless truck. You could get your Bronco with a small block, but the 5.0 liter V8 is a lot more powerful than anything installed by the factory. Given the 225 horsepower right out of the box (and more importantly the 300 pounds of torque), upgrades were superfluous, although more power will be insanely easy to make if that's what you want, thanks to the booming Mustang aftermarket. With factory programming and EFI, it starts instantly and idles well, sounding every bit like a 5.0 Mustang exhaling through a custom Flowmaster dual exhaust system A big radiator keeps it cool and the NP435 4-speed manual transmission has been recently rebuilt and fitted with 6.7 gears and a Centerforce hydraulic clutch. A modest lift kit, recent Rancho shocks, and all the usual heavy-duty upgrades underneath, you shouldn't think twice about using this truck as intended. Oversized 15-inch aluminum wheels are fitted with giant 33x12.50-15 Cooper Discover off-road radials and give it an awesome stance. There's far more in this Bronco than we can possibly describe here, so please give us a call for all the details. This is a very impressive truck that won't let you down when the going gets rough. Call now!
