Description of 1957 Ford F-100 |
I would like to sincerely apologize to all the bidders and watchers for ending the auction on Sunday the 18th. I did not know that the reserve can not be turned off 12 hours prior to the end. In hopes of turning it off. I lowered my reserve a dollar over the highest bidder so I panicked and was forced to end the auction. Again I apologize for my mistake. I am attempting to auction this truck here on eBay for one reason and that is do to my wife's business that I am involved in and we are traveling from state to state. if it sells great if not I will store it till I can enjoy it. About the truck. This truck was parked on a ranch in Paso robles ca. 26 years ago. The truck including the patina is all original. The body is very straight and all factory steel. The only thing I replaced was the tailgate that was bent pretty bad (still have the original). 1957 was the only year of this unique design. This is a base model straight six with a 3-speed manual column shift short bed. No a/c. no heater. no power steering and no power brakes. Here's what I have done to it. Everything is less than 1000 miles new. Rebuilt carburetor. new aluminum radiator. new head gasket. new intake gasket. oil pan gasket. nbsp;new motor mounts. new fuel pump. new coil. new pertronix distributor. new plugs. wires. new belt. new hoses. new clutch. new pressure plate. new slave cylinder. clutch mater cylinder. new brake cylinder. new brake drums. wheel cylinders. brake shoes. hardware. brake lines. brake pedal pad. clutch pedal pad. accelerator pedal. hood bumpers. nbsp;new wheels. nbsp;new tires. beauty rings. center caps. lug nuts. new turn signal lever kit. nbsp;rear light lenses. nbsp;new light bulbs and a siren I had laying around. The bed has new plywood that I stained and installed along with a new tradesman low profile tool box. The truck was lowered with brand new spring and shock kit from performance online. The bench seat and door panels were freshly covered and I burned the seat on the first day with a cigarette by accident (see picture please). What the truck needs in my opinion or drive as is. I purchased the rubber mats in the cab and in the bed (seen in the pictures) for the floor of the cab. I Herculined the floor but never got around to the mats. The front bench seat needs to be fastened after the floor is done. Both driver and passenger side glass are cracked (I like that look so I left it alone) I have an extra one that comes with the truck. Both doors need new door seals and new window felt strips (rattles) Fuel filler neck needs new gasket (rattles)Passenger side door window crank shaft is stripped. Regulator is good (only the shaft) The radio is a old 8 track player that does not work. No speakers. No sun visors. Registered. insured and a clear California title in my name. Please take a look at the pictures. These trucks are very easy to work on and very dependable. Everything works (other than the radio). The truck runs and drives excellent. great on gas and gets a lot of attention everywhere it goes. Defiantly a conversation starter. my reserve is set at a very fair price. This truck will appreciate in value every year to come. I will be more that happy to answer any questions. Thank you. On Jan-20-15 at 07:35:07 PST. seller added the following information:For those who use it. I forgot to mention that the parking brake cable is broken. The truck is light and can be left in gear and it will not go anywhere. Also has new speedometer cable and new exhaust pipe with a magnaflow glass pack. And I'm sure there is more new parts that I'm forgetting. Thank you. |
