Production rose in the last year to 21. 80 before the larger square bird replaced it in 1958! This beautiful 1957 Ford Thunderbird is finished in its correct E – Colonial White with XH – Red interior. its original 312ci 4bbl V8 and Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission. it offers a powerful 245 horsepower! It is fitted with Master-Guide power steering. Swift-Sure power brakes. AM/FM radio. heater/defrost. windshield washer. back-up lights. and electronic clock. Complete with fender skirts and 14×5” Kelsey Hayes chrome wire spoke wheels with Dayton Quadra SE whitewall tires. this Thunderbird is as wonderful to admire as it is to drive! Our Thunderbird was assembled on January 25th. 1957 and delivered new to the Los Angeles. CA ordering district. Although we do not have a ton of documentation regarding the restoration. we can confidently say that the car has been stored with us in our climate and pest controlled facility for the last several years by the former owner. The car does appear to have been restored some time more recently with all paint and chrome remaining very presentable. The highly detailed motor & compartment shows evidence of having a top end rebuild at the same time. Objectively. we can say that the car does drive exceptionally well. shifting through gears very smoothly with plenty of power! This Bird is definitely an attention-getter and the next owner should be prepared to speak with other enthusiasts on a regular basis.
