And there's more good news. Ford fans: this sucker's 100% blue oval!Built in 2010. there's a rather lengthy list of body mods. all of which add up to a smooth. sophisticated rod that won't go out of style anytime soon. Some of those tricks include shaved trim. a frenched license plate. 1939 grille trim. and a Vee'd windshield. The headlights are custom pieces that cost $400 each (fortunately. a spare set is included) and add to the car's sleek look. The two-tone silver-over-black paint scheme will look good for decades to come and accentuates the car's slick profile. with the separation between the two colors highlighted by a red pinstripe. The result is clean and elegant. Cool Brizio bumpers have an old-school look and a soft shine. there are LED taillights. and a third brake light is cleverly integrated into the bodywork for both safety and extra style points. Someone got every last detail right on this cool Ford. The handsome two-tone leatherette interior is obviously 100% custom built. ranging from the bucket seats to the trick dual-cockpit looking dashboard that abandons any semblance of 1938. Beautiful door panels continue the theme and again. the design is sophisticated. the materials are high-quality. and the look is timeless. Auto Meter gauges were chosen to monitor the engine. there's a custom center stack with the Sony AM/FM/CD stereo head unit perched up high and the Vintage Air A/C controls right below. Other amenities include power windows and remote door poppers. a billet steering wheel on a tilt column. and a back seat that will actually hold real-sized people. There's a ton of custom fabrication involved in this passenger compartment. too: just check out the grab handle in front of the passenger. the center console that stretches all the way back to the top of the rear seats. and the beautifully done arm rests at all four outboard locations. There's also a fairly spacious trunk that's been finished to match and uses gas struts to hold it open instead of the original balky locking arms. Nice!As I mentioned. this Ford is all Ford. including the fuel injected 5. 0 liter Cobra V8. Drenched in Ford Blue from intake to oil pan. it's a bright tribute to the blue oval and looks brilliant in the otherwise monochromatic engine bay. These are very stout engines with great low-end torque and legendary reliability. so you shouldn't think twice about putting this car on the road and with factory-style electronic controls. it starts quickly and idles smoothly even when it's cold. It's backed by an AOD 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission. which allows the use of 4. 11 gears in the 9-inch rear while still pulling down decent highway fuel economy and great comfort. The chassis was expertly finished in gray with what appears to be spray-on bedliner material on the floors. and it includes 4-wheel disc brakes. power rack-and-pinion steering. and a perfect hot rod stance. Traditional-looking Billet Specialties wheels with spinners complete the look and wear 195/65/15 front and 255/70/15 rear BFGoodrich radials. Beautifully built and documented with photos and receipts. this is a no-stories rod that's been effectively sorted and is ready to rock. The ideal '30s cruiser for the true blue Ford fan.
