A very nice survivor/driver quality Mustang to drive. restore/tinker more with. leave as is. invest in. good car to do what you want with. I'm listing for the family that owns the car. The car and the family (son in law of owner. a mechanic that has worked on the car for years) are very accessible for showings/contact. We wont go out of auction to sell so be prepared to bid if you are interested in the car. The owner. who has since passed away. purchased the car about 15 years ago or so. It was originally copper in color. It had a bit of rust down low (fenders and rockers) and was patched up and painted. nothing fancy; decent/mediocre work and outcome. All new brakes (too include all cylinders and hoses). heater core and tires were done also. With the low miles there was not much else to do. If the car needed fixed it got fixed. other than that just serviced/maintained. The owner liked old cars and with the help of his son in law would drive them each for about a month every year. He had half a dozen cars to rotate through every year in the nicer weather. So. this car was spruced up about 15 years ago. pulled out of storage every year and used for a month or so and put back to bed. That went on for a handful of years or so. Illness and passing of the owner led to just sitting in storage for 7-8 years. It has been removed from storage to sell. The gas tank had been drained and looks fine. The gas line was flushed. Fresh gas and it now starts. runs and drives fine. A little hesitation. perhaps carb will need a bit of fussing if it doesn't go away. A couple of the tires leak down pretty quick. The worst (F/R) I saw bubbling a lot of air out at the bead seal when cleaning it up. The tires look great but are old. driving around town with your fingers crossed might work! Brakes work fine. no problems have cropped up so far. A very attractive car. It is comfortable and easy to drive. The power steering is a desirable option on these cars and sought after. The interior is original and in decent shape. Feel free to come out and take a look.
