The vehicle model is the Galaxie 500 4-door sedan with a bench seat. It was Ford # number 64206 built at the Louisville Kentucky plant during the model year. The engine is a 352 4V Thunderbird V-8 with 250 hp @4400 rp, 352 ft-lbs @2800'rpm, 9.3:1 compression ratio, backed by the FX Cruise-O-Matic 3 speed automatic transmission with column shif, and driving through a 3.00:1 non locking differential. It was finished with the Emberglo exterior colo, and the interior trim is Parchment Crinkle vinyl and Parchment Olympia pattern cloth. It had a scheduled build date of March 2, 1966. The car does retain its assigned California black plates as issued when it was first registered in California in the 60's. This sedan was featured on page 73 in the 2004 book " Fords Of The Sixties " This is a complet, straight, and clean, never wrecked and no bondo, no rust in quarter panels or wheel wells and it has a solid rust free frame, floo, and trunk pans. Does start and run and drive, trans shifts nicely, drives well on all roads and has no problems at highway speeds. Good Headliner and door panels, needs both front and rear seats re upholstered, all trim is complete and in nice condition as well as the front and rear bumpers. My understanding is last year the fuel delivery system has had the following work completed, new gas tank sending unit, rubber fuel lines, and fuel pump, the engine also has new freeze plugs and motor mounts. A new master cylinder and battery was replaced and the wheel cylinders were re done. Engine fires up and runs well, but it does smoke after prolonged idle times and has some slight lifter noise . The heater core has been bypassed due to a lea, it will need to be repaired or replaced.
