Description of 1967 Ford Fairlane 500XL |
I have a 1967 Ford Fairlane 500 XL 390 car for sale 64,000 original mile, it is pretty much all original except it has a 4 barrel aluminum intake. I've had the car for about a year but with 3 kids under the age of 4 I find I just don't have time to deal with cars that aren't needed for daily travel. When I got the car it had been sitting in a building since the late 80s, at that time they had taken the engine out and painted it and had done some bolt on stuff like switching from a 2 barrel to a 4 barrel iron intake, which i changed out for a 4 barrel edlebrock when I got it. I had it running last summer for until i discovered the intake had a crack so I removed it and had it welded up, now it is back on the car and everything is back together, I just never got around to putting the distributor and wires back on it. The car had it booster and master cylinder removed when I got it, I purchased new ones that I havent installed yet, along with new rotors and rebuild kits for the front calipers which include new pistons and seals. This car came with the 4 piston kelsey hayes brakes.I also bought a nice rebuilt holley carb: C80F-9510-D This car came originally with power brakes, AC, Power Steering The car has very little rust a little bit on the door corner and drivers side floor pan(new one comes with the car) Basically an easy restoration of an all original numbers matching car for someone who has the time to do it Also the gas tank was hot dipped and new sending unit and pump have been installed. When this car was parked the blew out the brake lines and drained the radiator and gas tank which is great cause all the lines and everything are in good shape cause they didn't sit with fluids in them all those years I have a grille for the car but it is damaged in one corner, possibly repairable. the originally AC compressor is off the car but will go with it when it is sold. headlight bezels also included, one has very mild damage. |
