PPI's WELCOME OFFERS WELCOME! Evolve Motors is pleased to present this 1970 Ford Torino Convertible! We tracked down this beautiful blue Torino Convertible just in time for Spring! This well-sorted, well-documented example is one sharp looking Torino. Exterior: The car’s midnight blue paint, applied in 1983 (receipt in hand), has withstood the test of time quite well. Paint shines bright, but isn’t without some slight aging. Areas to be aware of include the driver’s side lower rear fender/wheel well, where there is some slight fading, and the driver’s door crease, where there is a little bit of chipping. There is also some chipping on the underside of the front bumper. None of which are glaring by any means, but worth noting. Chrome pieces all show well, with very limited signs of aging. Wheels are in excellent shape, with no curb rash or chipping. The powered top is in great shape as well, with no stains, discoloring, tears, or scuffs. The body is totally straight, with no dents or dings to be found. Interior: The interior presents similarly well to the exterior, well-preserved but a little bit tired. The driver’s seat shows some wear in the form of a burst seam on the lower left corner, and the rear seat belts are fraying a bit. Other than that, the interior is very nice. The blue seats, blue carpet, blue paint, and white top give the car a great period look. The steering wheel is hard not to love, with its slightly patina’d wood. Powered systems are all functional, including the top, radio, heat, AC, lights, and windows. Dash is in great shape, with no cracks or scuffs. Odometer is functional and the 85,238 mile reading is accurate. Under the Hood / Underbody: The car starts first turn, idles steady and cool, tracks straight down the road, pulls hard, and stops well. There are no noises or tendencies of concern. Underneath, rust is limited to surface, nothing structural. Floors are solid, as are the rockers. There is a bit of corrosion at the very bottom of the driver’s side front fender, behind the wheel. Again, not structural, but worth noting. Overall, this is a well-sorted Torino GT Convertible that is ready to be enjoyed. Wouldn’t hesitate to drive it anywhere.
