Description of 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT-500 |
1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT-500 Tribute! GT500 Complete Conversion 428 Motor - Stroked SCAT 464 5 Speed Tremec TKO-600 Blue and White Stripes! FULL HEIDTS FRONT SUSPENSION FULL WILLWOOD BRAKES READY TO ENJOY Thanks for taking the time to look at my AD. You are looking at a 1967 Ford Mustang GTwith a full Shelby GT 500 Conversion! The carhas a 428 CID motor that has a SCAT stroker kit to a 464 CID. Car makes well over 500hpand sends that power through to a Tremec TKO-600 5 speed manual transmission which then spins a custom driveshaft and into the Ford 9" rear end with 373 gearing and upgraded "strange" axles. As far as the outside goes the car sits about3 inches lower than factory due to rear lowering springs and a FULL front end conversion with the HEIDTS SUPERRIDE II suspension. With the HEIDTS suspension it features full adjustable coil-over setup with height adjustability as well as dampening. With this style suspension there is no longer shock towers in the engine bay which allows for the 428 to have plenty of room to sit in and more importantly room to work on. The suspension is incredible and is only about 1000 miles old. Besides the lowered ride the car looks very original and shows very nicely, turns heads EVERYWHERE. The car has the original style GT500 wheels but with a slight twist. The front wheels measure the original 15X7 however the back wheels have been professionally widened to an awesome 15x10 which have a 275/50/15 on it very nicely. The car is a pure joy to drive and will be missed, I simply don't have the time to enjoy her. Motor: Originally Built about 4 years ago the motor has recently undergone a COMPLETE refresh ( i.e Bearings and Valves and Valve Springs etc) as of last week! So you will be getting a completely refreshed engine with receipts for proof. Now as far as the motor goes here is some technical info. - 428 Block with SCAT Stroker kit to a 464. - Full aluminum Edelbrock top end kit ( Aluminum Double Carb Intake, Heads, Water Pump) - Double Carb Setup - Hooker SuperComp Headers ** Recent COMPLETE engine rebuild, over $12,000 with receipts** Freshly powder coated andsandblasted, looks brand new. Will include picsfollowing shortly as well as will provide receipts upon request! Completed December 2016. Brakes: The car not only looks incredible and pulls like an animal but it also stops on a dime and that's thanks to a full WILLWOOD 4 Piston set-up all around. The car features at all 4 corners WILLWOOD 4 piston brakes with braided lines! Car stops incredible, especially compared to original. Also as part of the braking system the car has a Willwood Billet Master Cylinder. Transmission: Like said above the car has a Tremec TKO-600 5 Speed Transmisson. This transmission is perfect for this car and really allows you to not only perform but also cruise. Paint: The paint is very nice on the car. It isa Metallic Blue with the white stripes. Paint I would say is a honest 7.5/10 due to some imperfections and general wear and tear, although the car was recently polished professionally and looks awesome. I would say its about 10 years old, it looks great. Interior: The interior is in great shape. It keeps the original look with subtle upgrades such as Super Comp gauges, and a useable center console. Other than that you have everything from the originalShelby Rollbar to theawesome door panels and dash panels withShelby badging. All in all the car is an awesome cruise night beast that will be sure to impress!
