1986 Ford F-250 XL 4WDExtremely well kept, clean, low miles and rust free classic F-250.
You will be hard pressed to find a better Ford truck for the age. This full size, 3/4 ton F-250 has been garage kept it’s entire life and is immaculate for it’s age. It starts easy, runs well and drives smooth like it did 31 years ago.
Vehicle HistoryI am the third owner of this truck. The gentleman I bought it from purchased if from the original owner in Lexington, KY and flipped it here on eBay. I’ve had it since October 2014, and while I hate to part with it, I simply need the garage space, and I don’t drive it enough to merit keeping it. And it’s too nice to park it outside. As the story was told to me, the original owner purchased it for the sole purpose of pulling a camper with it during camping season, and garage kept it the entire time when it was not in use.(I’ve kept it my garage as well.) From what I can tell the vehicle has never been smoked in. The original owner kept extremely detailed service records and receipts, as did I. All records will be passed along to the buyer. The original receipt shows that this truck had the factory rust prevention undercoating applied. This truck has original paint to this day.

Known IssuesWhile I consider this truck to be immaculate, it is 31 years old, and has a few minor issues. I’ll attempt to cover everything I know here.

There are a few very minor surface scratches and a couple places of minor paint flake in the door jambs. See photos.
Under hard braking, the rears can lockup pretty easily. Pretty common in older trucks. Could be that the drums need adjustment.
The gas gauge works, however it will show empty long before it as actually empty on both tanks.
There are some minor oil leaks at the transfer case tail and valve covers(gaskets could use replacing).
During a prior service I was told the power steering hoses were leaking at the pump. I’ve since tightened them and have not noticed any leaking but wanted to offer full disclosure.
The license plate light bulbs need replaced.
The front seat(driver’s side) has a crack in the vinyl and could be repaired.
There is a crack in the top of the dash(center)
The latch on the Toolbox could use adjusting. Occasionally it will pop open on a rough pot hole.
The visors are a little loose and can come down on hard bumps
