Description of 1965 Ford Mustang GT350R |
1965 Mustang GT350R Tribute Car For Sale With relatively simple modifications to the basic 1965 Mustang GT350 street car, Shelby's skilled engineers and mechanics created the 1965 GT350 competition model, or "R Models" as they have come to be known. They became virtually unbeatable in B/Production road racing competition. Basic weight cutting procedures were carefully reviewed so that the horsepower to weight ratio could be maximized. It was a common requirement for the cars to be raced with a spare tire on board. The spare tire on this car is located where the rear seat was normally located. This beautiful Tribute Mustang GT350R was constructed by Hi-Speed Rod And Custom, Tucson, Arizona. It Was Used as One Of Meguiar's Show Cars at the Las Vegas SEMA Show.
