The Ford Bronco was marketed from 1966 through 1996 with four different generations of styling. The earliest Broncos were a direct competitor to the small compact four-wheel drives like the Jeep and the International Scout. The first Broncos were very practical for some uses but not others like using it to tow a trailer. Redesigned in 1978, the new Bronco used a larger platform based off the Ford F-series pickup truck and competed better with the larger Chevrolet Blazer and... the Dodge Ramcharger. Offering more space, features, power, and utility, these Broncos were very popular. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this very nice and highly original 1979 Bronco XLT for your consideration. Sold new in Montana where it remained until we purchased it from its second owner, this Bronco is one of the nicest we've seen in awhile. Featuring the top end XLT trim as well as the largest 400cid V8 offered, this example is a desirable collector's item. The original body is very straight, with no rust, rot, or any large imperfections. The frame is super solid, as to be expected from a vehicle that was known to have been kept indoors. The rare H2 two-tone paint in Dark Brown Metallic and Sand Metallic is very nice and has good gloss. The chrome, rubber, and plastic trim is very nice as well. Newer 31in Toyo tires are mounted on nice American Racing wheels. The truck also has dual exhaust, a matching spare tire cover, and a trailer hitch. The interior is noted to be highly original and it looks very good. The dashboard is nice and crack free, as is the door panels and other trim pieces. The cloth and vinyl seats looks very nice and have a little wear on the bolsters. The rear seat, interior rear quarter panels, and passenger seat look almost like they have never been touched since they left the factory. The headliner is excellent and all original. The truck is equipped with a newer Kenwood stereo and all the features appear to be working including the power rear window and blower motor. While not as loved as the original Bronco, the second gen models have really come into their own light in the last few years as values are getting closer to their older brothers. This example is an excellent running and driving example and is in a really original and desirable condition. This truck will not last long!
