Description of 1979 Ford Bronco XLT Ranger |
I have for sale my 1979 Ford Bronco XLT Ranger with 64,000 miles. The Bronco was originally sold at Smith Ford in Lordsburg New Mexico, the dealer sticker is still on the tailgate and original plate is on the front bumper. The Bronco is a highly optioned A/C equipped XLT Ranger in one of the most desirable color schemes. It was one family owned before I purchased it and they have had a major amount of work done to it over the years. The exterior of the truck is all original paint which has patinaed nicely. The "paint ok" stamp is still on the bottom of the hood. The fiberglass top was redone at some point this is the only paintwork on the Bronco. I have many photos per paint showing its a rusty free truck. The body is completely rust free, and in great shape with only a larger dent in the drivers door, a dent at the bottom of the tailgate and a few minor dents. See Photos. Floors are original and in great shape. I have included a bunch of photos of common rust areas to show how clean they are on this truck. Chrome and aluminum bits are in great shape. Front bumper does have a little twist in it from pushing something. The top has been redone and is in great shape with no fiberglass wear or cracks. The interior is in good shape overall with the exception of the front seat being torn, is has had the Indian rug cover on it since I bought the truck and I have never removed it. The previous owner replaced carpet, dash pad, door panels, door seals and a bunch of other small things. All the interior trim is still there and in good shape. The radio is a modern radio with USB and the truck has new Kenwood speakers. The Bronco is powered by a 351M, backed by a C6 automatic transmission and NP205 transfer case. Mechanically the truck is very sound, all the drivetrain is in great condition as the engine, transmission and most of the suspension was rebuilt 5000 miles ago (have receipt for $10000 worth of work). The AC system is completely there but needs a belt and charge. I had the heatercore and blower motor replaced last month. The frame is very solid and clean for its ag, its lived most of its live out west so that shows. It has never been repainted or cleaned up to hide anything from the buyer like what happens on a significant number of these old trucks. Truck has been fit with a wagon wheel style wheels and a brand new set of 31x10.5R15 MT Tires. I also have the original wheels with brand new Goodyear Wranglers in OEM size if you would prefer those wheels instead of the ones that are installed. Overall this is a really nice survivor second generation Bronco. Truck has not been fully restored and is priced accordingly but would make either a great starting platform of an easy restoration, or better yet just a great driver.Prices on these trucks, will only continue to climb. Ask any and all questions before bidding. |
