Description of 1974 Ford Bronco Explorer Model |
1974 Ford Bronco Explorer model - unique 1 year only red with redplaidinterior Mainly original paint, not perfect but very nice survivorWorst paint section is an area near the base of the antenna, this section has a dry/damage area that is really limited to this area (old damage or solvent rag from years ago???)The car has live most of it's life in Idaho (still has original dealer sticker), South Dakota and the Carolinas. It is not a rust bucket northeast Bronco. The rest of the body shines up pretty nice and has nicks, chips, minor damage, rock chips, along with"old man touch up" dab of paint here and there. If you want perfect, DON'T buy this Bronco. If you want originality, patina and one of the best survivors with mainlyoriginal paint this is one to consider. They are only original once, a repainted/restored Bronco is not a survivor imho. Various original factory stampings - mostly the yellow paint check stamps done on the assembly line. Brand new windshield and gasket 302-fully rebuilt, machine shop work, all new gaskets, original motor, less than 1,000 miles since completed. The engine was built mostly stock with the exception of an XE256 cam and Holley 600cfm carb. C4 Automatic Ford Power steering Converted to disc brakes (BC Broncos) in the front, stops very well. 4wd works great Uncut original dash, rare red floor mat (not mint but still very hard to find in any condition), nice seats with wear due to the age. Recentlyinstalled brand new Ford head unit for the speedometer, original speedometer was at roughly 40K miles (given the age who really knows whether it was 40k or 140k). All gauges appear to be working properly, all lights including headlights, turn-signals, hazard lights, etc all work. Alternator charging properly, no known electrical gremlins. New fuel sending unit just installed in the tank. The Bronco was sold with the internal spare tire carrier mounted inside on the tailgate. The title is clear and signed over from previous owner, still titled in South Dakota, if this is an issue contact me before bidding! Due to the age of the Bronco,it is sold as is where is with no warranty stated or implied. The ONLY two forms of payment are a bankwire or cash if picked up in person. Paypal is for the deposit only, it can't be used for full payment and absolutely NO checks accepted. Bankwire or cash are the only mechanism of payment.I will meet with shipper locally but buyer must arrange all of the details. Thanks for looking. This car draws tons of attention, be prepared! |
