Description of 1977 Ford F-100

1977 FORD F100 WORKING. RUNNING. STOPPING LONGBED TRUCK SOLD "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTYI am not mechanically inclined. but as previous stated it does start and stop. However. if left for a few days I have to manually prime the carburetor. My mechanic looked at the truck and said VALVE COVER GASKETS Needed to be replaced. Needs new carburetor and electronic ignition box?. a new battery. leaks some oil (see photos) has a 1982 4. 9 300 cubic inch engine according to previous owner who drove the truck daily up until last May when I purchased. My mechanic thought $600. 00-$700. 00 would have me cruising comfortably. That is without paint which I would not want. It's a work truck. The body of the truck is STRAIGHT. whatever that means. From what I gather or moreover my interpretation of that means is the body original or has it been abused? You be the judge from my photos. I drive the truck about 30 miles a week. Home Depot runs. with a 5x8 trailer hooked to the back. Speedometer broke. but friend followed me on highway at 55-60 mph. Above 60 mph the ride gets rough!!! Bouncing. steering is sloppy. but manageable. Heater works. radio does not. a/c does not work. windows go up and down. tailgate works after a good pull. bedliner. power steering could be getting weak. but I was told part is a whole $18. 00. taillights work. but brake lights do not. power steering is getting stiff. may just need fluid which i will probably have checked. Most gauges do not work. gas gauge does work. does not burn a great deal of fuel because it is a 6 cyclinder. I say I'm not mechanically inclined but I believe based on the simplicity of this engine I could do okay with your basics. Note. I have a spare tire however I could not locate a way to install under bed of truckLOCATED IN ZIP CODE 30316. GOOGLE MAP TO MAKE SURE YOU WANT TO DRIVE THIS WAY.
