Description of 1967 Ford Falcon |
1967 Ford Falcon289 V8California Barn Find ~ California Black/Yellow plates~Dealer Special Order "DSO" 289 V8~Senior owned time capsule~Runs and drives great~Super low miles~Rust free Survivor Car~It's like a 4 door Mustang ""SPECIAL 5 DAY""" NO RESERVE AUCTION 1967 FORD FALCON CALIFORNIA BARN FIND - YouTube Video will open in a new window This 1967 Ford Falcon (chassis # 7K11C156328) is a Northern California Barn find sold new by Lou Gerard Ford in Redding California over half a century ago. This car was built the same year as the "Summer of Love" and was a "DSO" or special dealer order with a factory 289 V8 which has very low miles and is very powerful for this type of car. She is a survivor that runs and drives great. This car was purchased many years ago from the original little old lady by a private collector who has had the car in his collection of over 300 vehicles so he could tell people he has a 4-door 1967 Mustang. It is clearly not a Mustang but under that homely body is the exact same running gear that the original Mustangs evolved from. Most of these Falcons especially the 4-doors were powered the conservative 250 CI 6 cylinder not the 289 V8. Cosmetically this 51 year old classic is rust free and no sign of any previous collison damage or previous repair other than some dings and dents that ads a little charactor. The paint is looks to be original and is fading in many spots which is what you would expect for 51 years however it has a very solid body with no rust issues, again a benefitfrom living in a mild environment all its life. It still has the matching California Black and Yellow plates issued to this car when Lyndon B. Johnson was President and Ronald Reagon was the Governor of California Mechanically this 1967 Falcon is in great shape. The 289 V8 fires up and runs great, the car is a factory 289 V8 and has great power for such a light car. The 4th diget in the vin # is a "C" which is the 289 CI V8. She fires up and runs very strong with no visable leaks of any kind and runs like a 56k mile engine should most of these had the 6 cylinder which in comparrison matchs the style of the basic Falcon. The V8 makes it run like a 1967 Mustang. The 3 speed Cruise a Matic shifts good in every gear and the rear end is very stout as well. You could get in this car and drive it across the country if needed she runs that good. The interiorof this 1967 Ford Falcon is in decent shape. The carpet is original and a little dirty but other wise in great shape. The seats are in good shape and my thinking must have beeb redone at some point. The dash has two cracks but all original. All of the guages seem to work as do the lights, the door panels are nice just the drivers side is missing an arm rest. The headliner is coming down a bit in the back but in good shape. The sunvisors are in real nice shape and even the glove bod still has the original Falcon owners manual. I have presented and described this 1967 Ford Falcon sedan as straightforward and honest as possible. I have included an abundance of detailed pictures of this automobile as well as a video of it running. It is a solid honest rust free California classic that runs and drives great, remember it is 51 years old please ask any questions you have I will respond as soon as possible.Thank you and Good Luck!
