I have done it once and not being a wealthy individual who is willing to spend all of that cash to have everything done as I want to have it I have invested my efforts looking for that 'guy' who did so and hoping that I liked his vision and that is what I am offering up to the Ebay community. One man's vision. Is it close to yours? This car was built by some wealthy younger man who was willing to spend a whole lot of money to flesh out his automotive dream. He cut no corners, which will be illustrated later in this ad, but I wouldn't hesitate to assert that he spent well over $30,000.00 for all of the after market systems/parts that he put into this car and that price did not include installation. That would not include the engine, which he paid $8,100.00 for (invoice). I also have an invoice for metal work (new floors, frame rails, torque boxes, fenders, removal of shock towers, etc.), for close to $10k. We're already at around $50k spent and none of this includes installation, paint, interior, wheels, tires, etc., etc. At some point and for some undisclosed reason he owed someone a sum of money in the $30k neighborhood and he paid the debt with this car. The new owner was someone who liked European exotics owning a Ferrari, Lamborghini, and a Ducati and really had no interest in American muscle or the necessary tinkering that goes with the hobby and so the car languished in his garage. He rarely drove it, the clutch was so out of adjustment that one couldn't hardly shift gears and the high pressure line on the power steering pump had come loose so that it lost fluid and the pump froze up. He put the car up for sale when he started a new business that required a move and the sale of his home and the garage space to store it. The circumstances were buyer favorable, and to seal the deal he had a deadline to get everything out of the house that he had sold and he didn't manage the liquidation of the toys that he wasn't able to take with him with the urgency that the deadline clearly communicated. I purchased the car and had a mechanic of 40 plus years go through everything so that all systems are go. He adjusted the clutch, replaced the power steering pump, chased down several bad connections getting the dome light working, the gas tank sending unit working, the oil pressure sending unit working, and numerous other minor matters that were neglected. Now all of the fluids are topped off, all of the systems are working, and it is on the market for substantially less than it ever cost to build. I should add that all photos and videos are of the car in its current condition and mileage on the Autometer odometer is 1088. The four wheel Wilwood rotors have so little wear that there isn't even a ridge formed from braking and there is no smoke on start up nor any noises coming from the engine. I am 60 years old and I have owned some beefy muscle cars along the way but NOTHING that comes close to the performance that this supercharged 302 lays down. It has so much 'immediate' torque that one has to be very careful accelerating because even with a posi-traction rear end and wide rear tires it's almost like you're driving on ice. Just barely give it too much gas and the tires are spinning. You will witness that in the brief test drive video. It almost sound like I am out of gear and the engine is revving freely but I'm "driving on ice" due to the INSTANT torque. I may be shooting myself in the foot but if you are considering buying a car for someone who is inexperienced or immature this is NOT the car for you. It is dangerously fast, no B.S. It should be noted that there has been substantial rewiring for the gauges, etc., which includes two modern fuse boxes and several relays. There are numerous operation manuals and DVD's for operating/tuning various systems. The Ride Tech air suspension has threeautomaticsettings which are achieved by a push of the dashboard controller. In the photos I lowered the nose of the car but could have dropped it flat or kept it level. There are also two fobs for setting the level remotely which I haven't investigated much but I will be getting new batteries for them to see if they will function as well. The interior of this car is in like new condition from the new custom fiberglass and vinyl headliner to the brand new carpet. Furthermore, all of the gauges work 'correctly' as well as all lights, interior and exterior, the horn, etc. In addition there is an Alpine stereo/CD player built into the custom glove box with Alpine speakers front and rear and an amplifier in the trunk. In the test drive video I open the glove box and operate the stereo. The exterior of the car has zero rust or blistering paint. It does have some chips and minor dings associated with being driven. I don't have any painter connections where I live now but when I lived in Colorado I knew a couple of painters that could make the existing paint on this car appear show quality for under a thousand. A painter simply needs to be good at color matching and blending and chips/imperfections disappear. I just added a third video today. We did the test drive video (Wednesday) out of necessity due to three days of rain in the forecast but before the car was ready. We were unaware that we had a fuel leak coming from a gasket between the throttle body and the base plate of the carburetor and we had to scramble to find a new gasket only to discover that the six screws that held the two together were not tightened properly and one of the base plate to intake bolts was only finger tight creating a vacuum leak. We also discovered that the floats in the carb were out of adjustment and we were tying everything up trying to get the two videos and all of the pictures taken to get the ad posted on Friday evening. The photos were taken right before sunset! Anyway, I went to the storage today alone and took out each plug and media blasted them clean and put them back in again. It is not uncommon for supercharged cars to have some exhaust popping when decelerating due to the massive influx of air and fuel and then to ignite in the exhaust but the test drive was excessive so I made another video showing the engine running substantially cleaner after the work. Ideally the car should bedyno-tuned by the new owner at whatever elevation the car will be driving at.
