Description of 1952 Ford Other Pickups |

1952 Ford F3 Pickup Truck. Especially desirable and a cut above most by being a factory V8 truck with the 5 Star Cab, most of these F3's did not have the 5 Star Cab and came with the smaller 6 cylinder motor. All original and very solid Barn Find truck. A very good candidate for a full restoration. Selling withNo Reserveto the highest bidder. Contact must be made within 24 hours of the auction ending or it will be assumed that you have no intention of honoring your bid and the truck will be offered to others. Zero Feedback bidders must make contact prior to bidding. It has a good solid body which is all original with no past repairs. The floorboards are exceptionally good. The cab corners are very solid and have no rust through. The front fenders where these trucks are prone to corrosion are remarkably solid with no signs of rust. The bed sides have none of the usual rust ahead of the rear fenders. The running boards have no rust. The cab corners have no rust. Even the rear fenders are not rusted where they meet the bed sides as is often the case on this era Ford truck. Although there is no rust there are a few cracks in the fenders as is often found with this old rigid steel, both rear fenders have a small crack each and the passengers side front fender has a crack. The floorboards are remarkably solid with no rust although the passengers side floorboard is cracked where it meets the firewall as shown in the photo. It just needs the welds re-applying and new seam sealer. A huge bonus to this truck is that it hasn't been hacked up and fitted with a dump bed, this isn't often the case with 3/4 ton and larger prairie farm trucks of this era. The tailgate was unfortunately missing but we have sourced one from another F3, it is very straight and rust free but has a hole cut with an opening flap as many do on these larger trucks but this is easily repaired using the center section from a much more common half ton tailgate. Overall this is a very good rust free and all original example of a 52 Ford F3 pickup truck and a prime candidate for restoration being the less common 5 Star Cab with the V8 motor. The interior is complete and ingood condition for its age with a nice dashboard. As with all un-restored barn find trucks of this era the seat will need re-upholstering. Mechanically this truck is a very good place to start being complete and having the highly sort after Flathead V8. It was on the road 10 years ago which isn't that long ago compared to most of these Barn Find trucks. Nothing appears to be missing on the motor, it holds coolant without leaking. When I hooked up a 6 volt battery it just clicked and tried to turn. I then boosted it from a 12 volt truck and it turned very slowly so I wouldn't say its seized but it certainly will need some TLC as it hasn't ran for about 10 years. It rolls and steers freely and all tires hold air. This will make a great project being that it is pretty much untouched since Henry Ford built it. Selling withNo Reserveto the highest bidder.
