Description of 1930 Ford Model A possibly built on the first day of production! |
Early 1930 Tudor with "eyebrow" front fenders. The engine number shows that it was the 1360th one built in January 1930, out of 83,953 total that month. The engine was rebuilt less than 1000 miles ago with new pistons, rings, rods, valves, guides, springs, lifters, timing gears. The radiator and carburetor are new, as is the water pump, fan blade and wiring harness. The intake manifold, exhaust manifold and stainless steel exhaust system are also new. The generator, starter, distributor and oil pump are rebuilt. The transmission was rebuilt at the same time as the engine. I have all receipts for parts and machine work. The car is a very solid older restoration. It came from Nebraska. The body and chassis are both straight and solid. It starts easily, runs and drives well.It has provided many nice Saturday and Sunday drives. The paint is older and looks nice, but is not show quality. It has a few spots that need repair. I've shown the worst ones in the pictures. The left front fender has a small dent shown in the pictures. The tires have good tread, but they are older. The engine and/or transmission and steering gearbox have minor oil leaks.I am selling due to loss of storage. I have the clear Nebraska title and bill of sale from when I purchased the car two years ago. However, Georgia does not issue new titles for cars this old, only vehicle registration papers. I will provide a bill of sale, and the Nebraska title if desired. This car is being sold as is/where is, with no warranty. It can be inspected by contacting me through Ebay. A non-refundable $250 deposit must be paid by Paypal or wire transfer within 48 hours after the auction ends. If no contact is made within this time, I reserve the right to sell the vehicle to the next highest bidder or re-list it. Full payment by wire transfer or cash in person must be made within 14 days. You willingly forfeit the deposit if you back out of the deal. I will store up to 30 days after the auction ends. Contact me before bidding if you need more than 30 days. |
