Description of 1940 Ford Other Pickups --

This 1940 Ford pickup has a terrific look of old-school honest on the outside, but there are hints at the upgraded small block power beneath the skin. This truck just has an instant vintage cool. After all, the two-tone red and burgundy has a great nostalgic feel. And the panels show the crisp lines of this very vintage sheetmetal. Plus, this has the complete trim with cool details, like the teardrop headlight bezels and a grille design that... looks like they borrowed from Lincoln. But you'll also notice how this one still has a workman attitude. It's in how the paint isn't afraid of a worn-in impression and there are dark slats in the real wood truck bed. So this has that feeling of a great lasting classic that has never stopped going to work. And that holds true, as long as people don't notice a few subtle upgrades â€" like the dual exhaust tips and the wide/larger rear wheels â€" that hint at upgrades within. The interior has some nice thoughtful touches, like how the door panels coordinate with the exterior two-tone, and you also have a cool black and red bench seat. Plus, the upgraded VDO gauges set in a bright panel and the custom pinstriping are more hints at an upgraded classic. But even with all these additions, this never loses its vintage charm. Details like the classic dual-spoke steering wheel and the working cowl vent are parts giving you that nice nostalgic feeling. One look under the hood and you know why this has hints of hot rod flair. Chevy's 350 cubic-inch V8 is a terrifically stout powerplant, and this one even has the right performance upgrades, like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. It makes a sweet sound out of the newer dual exhaust, and the 10-bolt rear with wide tires makes the most out of this power upgrade. But more than just some added muscle, they made sure this pickup really has practicality. Features like a newer aluminum radiator, three-speed automatic transmission, and front disc brakes are nice upgrades to make this fine for anytime driving. An honest vintage pickup with a little something extra under the hood â€" this is a very cool build and it's ready to run right now. Call today!!!
