1941 Ford PickUp Hot Rod In 1940, Ford created one of the most stunning pickup designs for the ages. This one celebrates that style by utilizing the full custom build to highlight all the best features on this icon. It starts up front with the original style bumper, chrome grill center and teardrop headlights. The front turn signals are halogen mounted just behind the grill. The front end is a mustang II with a Unisteer power rack & pinion. The motor is a 350 Chevy connected to a turbo 350 transmission with a Lokar shifter. The rear end is a 9" Ford Mounted on leaf springs. The rear taillights and turn signals are flush mounted into the roll pan under the tailgate, along with the frenched in license mount just above the stainless 3" exhaust outlets. Disc brakes front and drums rear. The truck is a Chili Pepper Red / Burgundy color with beautiful pin striping down the side body line around the cab, the stake pocket uprights on the pick-up bed and finished off on the tailgate. This is an original Texas truck, however when the transformation was in progress a fiberglass hood, fenders and running boards were used along with a new steel pick-up bed with walnut floor. The interior of the cab was painted the same color and highlighted with gray/white tweed material. With a Flaming River tilt steering column and Lecarra steering wheel' The gauges are all VDO mounted in a billet dash insert. It has a walker radiator Hooker headers An additional electric fan mounted in front of the radiator (If you want to drive slow in parades.) Weiand intake manifold and Edelbrock 1405 600 CFM carb. Wheels are all American Racing polished aluminum Front tires are 165R 15 Rear tires are235/75 R15 Total miles since it was finished is currently 5816.4 This is a driver and it does run and drive great! |
