Description of 1942 Ford GPW / MB |
For your consideration, a collectible 1942 Ford GPW military jeep. Jeep is in need of complete restoration, although it does run and drive around the yard. The front part of the chassis and bumper has been welded up due to cracking...I am sure a replacement front frame piece can be welded in and it could ...with some skillful grinding and welding be repaired.. The rest of the frame is in decent condition there is no crash damage evident.I will add some pictures of the frame soon . Body has rust in the front floors,on the rear floor, and on the sides...overall with enough determination, it is repairable. The toolboxes are surprisingly decent shape. Unfortunately the glove box door is missing along with the data plates....but the chassis number and engine number are clearly visible.Has many Ford marked parts like the grill, both front fenders, tool boxes, windshield, hood, and both seats. Also there are little F marked parts all over the vehicleThe complete nose and the windshield of this jeep are remarkably good shape. Drivetrain consists of an original military Willys MB engine and a T90 civilian transmission, other than that it is completely stock. Engine runs well. Has correct Ford radiator and small components like the fuel filter etc. Jeep also has two combat wheels on it. All of the gauges except for the speedometer are original. . The good running willys MB engine is also a valuable addition to this jeep! I do have other parts available, at an extra cost, that could be used in restoration for this jeep. Included in auction are:an original world war two speedometer,Army t84 transmission with model 18 transfer case. This is your chance to bring A piece of WW2 history back to life ..... These jeeps are getting harder and harder to find!! ... here is a chance to get one for restoration that is very reasonably priced! It's gonna be a hit at parades and events. A perfect vehicle for those with limited space as it fits into any small garage There currently is no title ..sold with bill of sale only - for an extra fee I can apply for a replacement title And offer some advice... Please don't hesitate to message me with questionsThanks and good luck.!I can assist with shipping as I have a couple of shippers that I use regularly. |
