Car lived it's life in Tennessee until 2017. 100% rust free. 347 BluePrint crate motor, rebuilt end of summer, 2018. Currently has about 600 miles on the rebuild. It's been inspected and re-tuned, however, I still drive it as though in break-in mode (lower rev range). Body has 125k, but there is little original to the car. Most of the build occurred in 2016 from a previous owner. I have owned it since spring of 2017. It had a number of things to be addressed, so I have been slowly going down the list of items based on priority. The motor had incorrect internals for the intended use, and had a couple damaged piston heads, thus requiring the rebuild with the proper internal (forged) components installed by the most reputable hotrod shop in my area. The current state of the car is where I have left off on it's list off planned updates. There are a few things to note that require attention if you are seeking to further refine. The dome light doesn't work (likely just a bulb). Wipers can be glitchy but work, though I never drive it in rain. Due to the motor swap, there is no cruise control. I was going to replace the weather stripping on the drivers side, but that's a cheap and easy fix. The paint is decent and polishes up nice, but has a few scratches and a minor door ding on the drivers side. The external trim is somewhat weathered but not bad, but again, these are details that don't disallow one to enjoy the car. Due to the motor rebuild, I consider the mileage as EXEMPT, but I can provide the contact info of the speed shop behind the motor work to verify anything I'm stating in this description. Again, this car is not a perfect show car, it is a driver that has show potential. I myself am VERY particular about my Fox Body's (I've owned 8, and this is presently 1 of 3) . MY REASON FOR SELLING IS AS FOLLOWS: (so please read carefully and don't ask me to re-explain): I have recently acquired a 91 Fox show car that I have long sought after, therefor, I would rather offer up this car to a new home, having recently completed all the 'big ticket' repairs and upgrades. I have one other 88 Gt Convertible in storage, and storing 3 cars in the winter up here is a pain. I don't need more than 2 of these Foxes at a time (one totally stock, one totally not). Shall I NOT receive an acceptable offer, I will simply store until March and re-list in the spring. LOW BALLERS NEED NOT INQUIRE. I will get nowhere close to what I have invested in this thing, and I know this, but I refuse to get fleeced. I will begin with a reserve, and see how it goes from there. If you have questions that I have not addressed in the above, I will do my best to answer. I did not 'turn the wrench' on this car, so there may be technical questions I can only pass along to the shop behind the work. I do not need help selling the car, and I am quite keen to scammers. I think that's everything, although I'm sure there's a few things I missed. I can assist in transport coordination, as I have done many. I can have the car at my place of business for pickup, which is only a mile off a major highway, and thus, quite easy for transport access. Without further adieu, happy bidding and thanks for looking.
