Description of 1958 Ford Other Citation

1958 Edsel Citation Convertible Highly restored. rare. top of the line Citation Convertible. just finished restoration. out of an estate of over 200 expensive cars in the collection. Part of the Estate's endowment gave 170 million to one education school. No expense spared on one of the rarest 1950's convertibles. One of the employees who over saw the collection stated that " there was over $100. 00 spent on this car. " This cannot be verified by paperwork as none of the over 200 cars were given any records. not even cars over $300. 00. The money from these cars went to another education donation. The body was taken down to the bare metal and flawlessly painted with laser straight panels. Top quality chrome work and beautifully polished stainless trim everywhere including the hubcaps. New correct rubber fitted throughout the car. Underside of this 57 year old car has no patch work with nice original sheet metal. Original engine is 410 cubic inches with 345 HP. The motor compartment. inner fenders. firewall. and underhood are done to show quality. I was told. but no records. the motor and teletouch drive transmission were completely gone through. New brakes. mufflers. and tires that still have the nubs on them as the car has never been used. In taking it out for a drive it runs like a watch and drives wonderfully. Correctly done new leather interior. New top and powder coated top bows. Fresh motor runs the top up and down. New door panels. convertible boot. and carpets with the trunk finished off beautifully. Push button town and country radio and factory tachometer. Fit and finished to show standards. Nice car to show or drive. Few of the 930 Edsel Citations exist. Probably one of the best in existence.
