Description of 1991 Ford Mustang LX |
1991 Ford Mustang notchback LX 5.0, Strawberry Red exterior, Red cloth/vinyl interior, 5.0 motor, 4 speed automatic trans with o/d, 3:73 gear traction lok 8.8 rear, needs to be finished. Needs driver side airbag. Car ran into garage a couple owners ago, there is NO frame damage. New front end was put on and some of the paint cut in, doors still need work as well as trunk. Was a Florida car when new. It has Steeda work done to it, air intake, throttle body, upper/lower intake, motorsport heads, msd ignition, definetly a cam in it although I dont have papers ( its lumpier than stock ), headers, H pipe, dual exhaust with flowmasters, Steeda badges, Steeda dash placue says # 78 on it( hard to read but it has numbers and a Steeda Engineering ), Steeda 1/4 glass etched. Runs great, new battery, water pump, crank seal, belt, radiator and brake lines. Trans shifts good and has to have a mild shift kit in it. Rear gears were replaced from the factory 2:73:1. Has some upgraded suspension parts to, sway bars, etc. Body needs to be finished. Both doors have a spot from the fenders coming back, I would scrap the deck lid ( has dings on top and the underside lip is rusted, they are so cheap to buy good used ones ). The subframe connectors that were added are rusty and there is a bubble above passenger wheel. You have probably seen this car before. The leak, handles, and motors are fixed now. This is from a couple owners ago:A little about the '91 Steeda: I purchased it in this condition and literately have not touched it. It has a shortened GT40 Upper and Lower Steeda Intake with the Pro-M ram air intake connected to a K&N filter. Looks to have Ford Motorsport heads attached to factory headers which push out the exhaust to two, three chambered 2 1/4" Borla mufflers. Cooling supplied by a Steeda/Champion Radiator and a Spawl fan. Electric is supplied by MSD Ignition and wires. I was also informed the vehicle has a mild cam installed, most likely a E303 with upgraded crank and forged pistons. The transmission is a AOD 4 followed by a one piece drive shaft connected to 3:73 gearing. There are also upgraded Steeda/Kenny Brown suspension components; torsion/traction bars (the ones running length wise on the vehicle are rusted and need to be replaced) and anti-sway bars under the vehicle. As you can see the vehicle needs body work. The front clip needs to be pulled and gone through. There was a previous front clip change that wasn't done correctly (the previous owner told me he ran into his garage). The door handles don't work well, window motors need to be replaced and there is a oil leak in the front of the engine (possible front crank seal, drain plug, oil pan gasket or combination). Simply, it needs work but will be one of the rarest Mustangs out there when completed. This is the real deal, what you see is what you get. Last owner told me there were a possible total of 4 notchbacks that were produced by Steeda in '91. See the special badging on dash (which is faint), rear lid, side quarter glass and original side fenders (see small Polaroid picture). The vehicle starts every time and it sounds amazing. No smoke, check engine light or irratic idle, it runs and drives but would not suggest it due to the oil leak.Ask any questions first. Feedback under 10 call first.
