We have fully restored MANY Bumpsides and Dentsides Highboys over the last 12 years, and we LOVE them! Our friend Vince commissioned us to restore this Highboy and sell it for him. The overall condition of this 1970 Ford F250 Ranger XLT Bumpside you see right above was near pristine prior to us starting the restoration!! This truck is two weeks away from being finished having every square inch FULLY "Frame-Off" restored. It is IMPECCABLE from top to bottom, inside & out. No expense is being spared in equipping it with every feature possible. New Vintage Air AC and full interior restoration with a BADASS 400HP 390ci MONSTER burning up 35" Toyo Open Country tires on the outside. NOTE: Because there are some items that are yet to be finished on this 1970 F250 Ranger XLT, we wanted to give the buyer some room to customize the interior and some exterior options if desired. For example: Heated Seats, Back-Up Camera, Retro-Style Bluetooth Radio on the inside, or cruise control are just a few of the many options you can choose to upgrade.

The truck pictured directly above is a 1967 F100 that we restored a few months ago. This 1970 F250 Ranger XLT will look exactly like this. Each photo will indicate which is the actual 1970 F250 and which is the 1967 F100 we are making it look like. This is a TRUE Highboy (which are actually pre 1977.5 F250's 4WD Trucks with a divorced transfer case), and this F250 Ranger XLT exemplifies everything that a true Highboy must. This F250 Ranger XLT 4WD exudes the BAD ASS look and feel of any "true" Highboy and has a smooth ride and is HIGHLY capable off road. AGAIN, this 1970 F250 is just wrapping up a FULL FRAME-OFF RESTORATION that was METICULOUSLY cared for prior to the FULL RESTORATION, and the finished photos you will see below are of another Highboy that we restored which this one will be identical in finish features and quality. This F250 started the frame-off restoration as a 99% RUST-FREE / CANCER FREE truck! EVERYTHING is original to this truck (everything has been fully restored, reconditioned or refreshed, but it all was original to this truck); the motor, the body, the chrome, the moldings, the interior, the trim... Everything. We reused the original trim and emblems as they had such a nice patina and looked great!

It has an AMAZING ORIGINAL 390 V8 with ONLY 78,658 ORIGINAL MILES that was newly rebuilt pushing 400 HORSEPOWER! Being meticulously maintained priorly, this F250 was an impeccable candidate for a full frame-off restoration. The motor had all its original bearings and rings and it still had 130psi compression. But after the engine rebuild it runs like a MONSTER. It starts from stone cold immediately and has TONS of power! The undercarriage is satin smooth & completely black. It is so clean. It has STUNNING BRAND NEW PPG Harbor Blue / Wimbledon White paint that has a curb appeal that is FREAKING AWESOME! On the inside the seat upholstery is brand new and and the door panels are in flawless condition. The dash will be a TMI leatherette with baseball stitching. This '70 F250 Ranger XLT runs AMAZING! The NEWLY REBUILT 390ci V8 engine starts and rumbles to life instantly from stone cold. The engine along with the transmission are in brand new rebuilt condition, and they were original to the truck. RARE!! It was built with a cam, pistons, intake manifold, carburetor and exhaust to pump out 400HP. This 1970 F250 Ranger XLT is ready to go! Every part of the mechanical is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. One can even customize it even further with high performance additions of your liking (Holley Sniper EFI, Long Headers, etc.) The 390 V8 starts right up from stone cold and drives VERY strong. Everything from the engine back to the rear differential has been tuned recently. The engine along with the transmission have gone under full Pre-Purchase Inspection by a professional mechanic and has been tuned to perform as strong as possible. The compression is 140 psi on every cylinder, and the oil pressure is a solid 50-60 psi (500-2500 RPM). It has a new radiator, power steering pump, brakes, fuel pump, steering and suspension bushings. It starts, runs, and drives STRONG.

The exterior of this Bumpside is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS and has an amazing retro patina feel. The numbers correct Harbor Blue with Wimbledon White top color is a MASSIVE head turner. There are ZERO rust/rot issues on this truck. It is 100% original solid Ford Steel top to bottom, front to back. ALL questionable areas of the body has been media blasted, metal cut and replaced with 18 gauge steel. No fiberglas or thick fillers were used to patch any previous rust or weak spots.

The inside is in near spotless condition and LOOKS AMAZING!! It has the feel of an original condition Ford Truck, but the high quality upholstery and carpet give it the look, feel, and smell of a showroom new Ford Truck! As you can see in the picture above, the custom leather dash clad with baseball stitching will make this truck feel modern, but maintain the feel of a retro-style Ford. The overall interior feel is beautiful, and the door panels are restored and flawless.

The heated seats will keep you warm in the winter, the New Vintage Air AC will keep you cool in the summer, and the back-up camera and three point seatbelts will make you safer than the original equipment. This 1970 F250 was near impeccable to begin with. As you can see in the picture above the exterior body panels are ORIGINAL Ford Steel with ZERO rust or rot. The body was sanded and media blasted in every nook and cranny prior to body prep being done. The undercarriage, rockers, cab mounts, and floorpans were nearly 100% free from any rust or rot. There were only two small minor weak spots in the cab floor near the kick panel, but they were carefully cut and replaced with 18 gauge cold rolled steel.

The undercarriage had the original rose-colored primer still prominent underneath showing a well preserved Bumpside. The rest of the vehicle was similar in all aspects... everything was original and near pristine. Very little was worn and everything was original to the truck. We took everything off the frame and media blasted and prepped it to be recoated with a top quality epoxy primer and industrial coatings. The whole process of this frame-off restoration was performed using top tier manufacturers like 3M, PPG, BASF, and U-POL.

Every component of the truck was meticulously cleaned and prepped. Each section and seams of the body panels were sealed with 3M Seam Sealer, then coated with PPG Epoxy Primer, and then painted with three coats of BASF paint and 4 coats of PPG Clearcoat. It was then cut and polished to show an amazing mirror like gloss. A restoration process like this can cost well over $40,000.
