Description of 1937 Ford Tudor Slantback |
When you look like a slick street machine, you want all the right pieces to back it up, too. That's why this 1937 Ford Tudor Slantback comes with proper V8 power, overdrive transmission, an upgraded suspension, a luxury A/C interior, and much more. This car steals the show from all angles. Your eyes first take a glance at the Beautiful Black Cherry burgundy paint. It has a high-gloss, high-quality finish that loves to show off this sheetmetal. We love the 1937 Fords for the headlights mounted in the front fenders and the deep-dipping V-shaped grille that were showpieces debuted this year. So deleting the front bumper really puts them on display. Those side hood cooling vents are a perfect match for the grille, and together with mirrors, hood ornaments, door handles, and hinges on the sleek slantback style, they complete a nice brightwork accenting. And the polished American racing Torque Trust wheels give this added shine and the stance of an upgraded machine. Opening the doors reveal an interior built for custom comfort. It starts with gray bucket seats with black inserts up front that have the kind of bolstering that will make you happy to cruise all day. The rear seats and custom door panels match the two-tone, and the carpeting seen throughout (even the trunk) seems to blend the two colors. So it's a thoughtful total package. Even the exterior deep red returns on the dash for a full uniform presentation. They made sure this is a comfortable place for everyone to spend some time with ice-cold R-134A air conditioning, an Auto Sound AM/FM stereo with USB input, cup holder center console, and power windows. Plus, this is a true driver's machine with your seat power adjusting to the ideal driving position. There's also a Lecarra sports steering wheel on a tilt column and a dash dominated by crisp TPI Tech gauges. The smooth burgundy walls of the engine bay funnel your attention to all the clean components, like the polished A/C compressor, chrome alternator, and the Edelbrock aluminum valve covers with matching air cleaner. At the heart is a powerful 350 cubic-inch crate V8. It also has all the right upgrades, like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Procomp intake, HEI Distributor, and a sweet-sounding dual exhaust. More than just powerful, they also build this with everyday driving in mind. That's why you have great features, like the aluminum radiator with electric fan, and a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. When you look underneath, you see more of the advantages of a modern build. This has a Mustang II-style tubular A-arms up front and newer sway bars front & rear. Add in power steering and power brakes w/discs up front, and this is a terrific all-around package. Complete with restoration photos, and title documentation, this is the Slantback that's ready for everything from car shows to the Power Tour. So if you want it all, don't let this one slip away.
