Description of 1965 Ford Mustang Base V8

Hello. for sale is my 1965 Ford Mustang. This car is by no means perfect but is in great condition for its age. and has been restored beautifully. This a running and driving finisher upper. some could consider this a resto-mod because of the amount of retro fitted parts not stock for this car in 1965. Its over 95% complete. This is a 50 year old car and is not perfect but is much nicer than most out there and has a ton of upgrades. Drives like a much newer car than a 65. Someone tried to steal the wheels off of the car unsuccessfully but caused some damage to the drivers rear quarter. . Roughly 1200 miles on all new and built parts. The paint is not perfect and has nics and imperfections here and there the car is almost completely rust free aside from what is in the pictures which you can see in the pictures small spots on the cowl and just noticed some very minor bubbling on passengers door. Needs an alignment the tires have only 1000 miles or so on them but the fronts are beginning to wear from the inside out. The car needs a grille. the hood needs to be adjusted and seated to fit I was unable to do it alone. radio. speedometer jumps so could use a new cable or some graphite. have all new body plugs but need to be installed. dash pad. The car needs to be driven so it is broken in. I got the car as an unfinished project and I know there was some thought put into the possibility of eventually supercharging it. The car doesn’t have the best turning radius because of the large tires and the power steering set up and it also has no seatbelts. I am making the car sound much worse than it is but I want the winner to not come across any surprises. The car was a long-term project which is now almost complete. and I am selling it to a change in priorities. It will probably need a tune once its driven but I tried to start it every month or so and it always fired right up. Clean and clear title as well as a ton of receipts totaling approximately 10k. there is at least another 10k-15k in restoration parts and labor which doesn’t include the price I paid for the car . I can include the paperwork for all of the work and parts I have had done as well as a good portion of the stuff the previous owner had done in the last seven years. The parts not yet installed ARE INCLUDED. I am not sure who did the paint on the car or what the cost was as well as the interior. Floors are solid as you can see in the pictures. There is also some play in the billet steering column that is vertical I cannot figure out but I doubt it is anything significant. A factory 1965 radio will be included. New parts or work done include: Rebuilt C4- $1. 00 (parts and labor) Rebuilt 289 - $5. 00+ (parts and labor) 3 core aluminum radiator - $300 w/extra electric fan (not installed) $80 New wheels (17x8) - $830 Brand new tires - $650 SSBC front disc brake kit 13" rotors - $1590 Rack and pinion steering New fuel tank - $200 All new interior Billet tilt column - $590 Newer paint Headman headers - $180 Power rack kit (flaming river) - $2000 Upper control arms - $600 Low control arms - $500 New dual exhaust with X pipe out the back 2 1/4" - $600 Electronic ignition MSD - $280 Window tint Carpet Headliner All new wiring from headlights all the way to the taillights - $700 As you can see this car has been tastefully modded and is not for the faint hearted. It is setup to supercharge or be a daily driver it is your choice. I am unaware of the year this engine came from and sadly the specs of the internals however it is not the stock motor or transmission. I do know it’s a Ford 289 and it is carbureted. Many other receipts will be included for all the random odds and ends I have added or done to the car since I have owned it the last four years. There is at least an additional 10-15k worth of restoration parts and labor without receipts not including what I paid for the car. The winning bidder is getting a great car and will be very happy with it. Quite a few extra parts including a replacement battery tray Please contact me with any questions about the car. I have put as many pictures possible showing the great condition of this car. more pictures. mainly receipts. are upon request. Clean and Clear title. no hassle transfer. This is an AS-IS sale. no warranty expressed or implied. The car can be picked up or shipped. I can recommend a shipper but it is the responsibility of the buyer. Thank you and happy bidding!
