Description of 1971 Ford Ranchero

1971 Ford Ranchero. Really nice condition, really good paint about 2 years old. everyone that sees this car really likes it, its an awesome alternative to your run of the mill mustang. It has a nice running 351c with shaker hood scoop. it has air conditioning. A lot of the chrome was rechromed around the bed etc. Bed is perfect inside. Really nice california car. all original floors quarters etc. The interior is really nice the cowhide is awesome and looks really cool. It does need some new sun visors and a few other little things inside but its really nice as is. New brakes, upper and lower control arms and new strut rod bushings. It drives strait down the road and drives and stops nice. It has a limited slip 9 inch rearend with 3.73 gears, disc brakes in the front. There is a few very minor pin holes in passenger footwell probably from leaking heater core or plugged condensate line. as the rest of the underside is excellent. I would think it would be nearly impossible to find one as rust free as this car. It is an original ac car and has a new compressor and is holding freon and cooling but the blend door actuator is not working properly so the insides need some work. That is really the only problem with the car.
This car came with the ford power leaking and wandering system (power steering) It was the standard at the time ford ram assisted system which is horrible imo (and I love fords) I took all that junk off and did the manual steering adapter on it. It steers great now and is not hard to steer in a parking lot and steers like normal at speed. You are $500 away from a borgenson integral power steering box which is way better and cheaper than rebuilding the original system. I have all the original parts for the steering along with a couple spare rotors and and box of random spare parts that will go with the car.
dropbox with more pics and a couple of videos from when I bought the car one year ago.
