Description of 1965 Ford Fairlane |
This 1965 Fairlane 500 is a one year only design and I think pretty scarce. (you just don't see them out here anyway). this 2 dr. sedan is a CA car. looks like its never seen salt and has no rust in any of the doors or panels. the floors are very solid front and back with some surface rust onlyIt's not running now. The engine cranks and turns over freely but the carb is dried out after being stored inside for the last 15 years. The engine is clean inside the valve covers and has 78 302 cast inside the head valley. so guessing a 78 302. Has an Edlebrock street performer intake with a Holley 4 BBL. M/T valve covers and aftermarket wires but beyond that looks to be stock. Stock cast exhaust manifolds and the remaining exhaust is cut off at the trans. Driveline is all in tact and the only thing I've noticed is play in the trans tailshaft bushing. I have stock 14" front and 15" steel wheels and the original 65 hubcaps beyond what you see on the car. Have most all of the ext. trim except for the quarter panels and 1 front fender. There has been some body work just ahead off the right rear tire. I have a new headliner not installed and it needs to have carpet and the seats redone. Non-padded dash. Glass is all good and the windows roll up and down well. Uncertain on the actual miles. Most all of the trim pieces. ew tailights and some additional new parts are included. I can help coordinate shipping and loading or take it to someone local to forward if needed. If you like 1965's this one is definitely worth considering and one of the most rust free non restored Fairlanes still around you'll find. Thanks for looking and bidding! Greg |
