Description of 1973 Ford Maverick Base |
I am selling my beautiful show quality Maverick. This is a 1973 Ford Maverick Restomod priced to sell. It spent it’s entire life in sunny California until two year ago when I brought it to Utah. It has been in a garage since I have owned it. It is 100% rust free, Runs great and ready for shows. This Maverick is quite rare coming from the factory with a 302 cubic inch V8, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes with front discs equipped more like a fastback Mustang. Most Mavericks were equipped with a 6 cylinder engine and drum brakes. The door sticker shows it’s original equipment and color. The basis to build a restomod and the previous owner installed a rebuilt 86-89 mustang fuel injected 5.0 V8 with overdrive automatic transmission and aluminum radiator. He also installed modern headlights and a AM/FM CD player with speakers hidden under rear parcel shelf. The fuse box for the fuel injection was installed in the glove box and ecm is under the glove box. He also finished the body exterior and painted it the original Saddle Bronze with clear coat. The complete body is and always has been 100 % rust free, in perfect condition. Has new cut pile carpet, seat upholstery with foam, dash cap and new Noico sound/heat insulation mat. Installed black carpet and a black dash cap to break up the brown interior and give it more modern look. The modifications that were made to stock are: New 15x7 American racing Torque thrust wheels and Cooper Cobra tires, 215/65 front, 255/60 rear, (original 14 inch and those tires are getting hard to fine for performance use). New cold air intake system. New NHRA approved battery box and battery mounted in trunk with cables. Front bumper shaved and tucked in 4 inches. Both bumpers painted Corvette Pewter basecoat/ clear coat. New rev counter, oil pressure, voltage and temp gauges installed. New front 3 point safety belts. Four new shock absorbers. A complete new welded dual exhaust system with flow masters. This is one rare Maverick, a factory 302 V8 car with power disc brakes and power steering still in it’s original color. Have clear Utah title in hand.
