This beautiful 1959 retractable hardtopconvertible was sold new and spent most of it's life in Tennessee (nosalt). I am the fourth owner and have had it 12 years, but it istime for a younger owner. This car is in original unrestoredcondition with mostly original paint and interior. It has the352ci/300hp engine with cruise-o-matic transmission, power steeringand brakes. It still has the dealer installed clear plastic seatcovers and seat belts have been added. Also has the chrome fenderskirts and dual spotlights. The previous owner had a new 6 blade fanand radiator installed, complete brake rebuild, including new brakecylinders, drive shaft u-joints, new idler arm and stabilizer arm,and complete power steering rebuild, including all hoses and controlcylinder. He also had a new headliner installed, and new seals forwindshield to roof, and flipper seals. All the top motors are inworking order. At some point, there was damage to the top of the leftrear fender. This was repaired, but there is a difference in thepaint in this area. We believe the paint to be original to the restof the car. The previous owner was told by two “retract” expertsthat this is one of the nicest original cars they had seen. There isa small transmission seal leak and I have to add about ½ pint peryear. Again, this is a very nice car and I get a lot of thumbs upwhen I take it out for a drive.
