Description of 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 |
Please read the full description and terms of sale prior to bidding. This car has not been restored. It is a survivor with 66. XX original miles! The engine is the 352 “Thunderbird” the same block as used in the 390. 427 and 428. For those looking to make a sleeper. most speed parts will fit. cams. intakes. heads and bell pattern all interchange if my memory is correct. I wouldn't encourage you to do that to this car because as it sets it has collectors value which will appreciate if left in it's current condition. The exterior is very sharp and solid. I have provided plenty of photographs for your review below. Please take note of the pictures that show magnets attached around the bottom of the car. I want you to see that this car is not full of Bondo. I do not have an instrument to measure the thickness of the paint. but it is possible that this is the original paint. Given the overall condition of the car it would not surprise me. There are small areas that have been touched up. All of trim is there and as you can see is in very good condition. I would say expect normal wear and tear. but really what would be normal for a 50 year old car doesn't exactly describe the condition of this car! The interior is all original down to the floor mats. If you pull them up you can see the bright red carpet in contrast to the exposed areas of the carpeting which have faded over the past 50 years. The lights work. the radio plays. the turn signals blink. the blower motor blows the windows roll up and down as they should. All of the glass is good. Again. I would say to expect some light wear and tear if that is a fair description. I am not a mechanic in any way. but I do have a long time friend who is an ASE certified automotive technician who inspects every car I drive. If anything is wrong it is fixed. I am not aware of anything mechanically wrong with this car. It runs and drives as it should. That said. understand you are not buying from a car dealer. rather a passionate classic car collector who enjoys buying. selling and trading as a hobby. This auction is not about profit or loss for me. no reserve means the highest bidder takes it! What is important to me is that you be satisfied with your purchase and that this car gets to be enjoyed by another who is able and will care for it. If you are a local buyer. please take the time to come view this car prior to bidding. I encourage you to employ a professional car inspector if you are not able to come see this car yourself. It cost time and money to advertise on Ebay. I will not refund your deposit but if you are the winning bidder and this car does not meet your expectations for any reason I will not leave you negative feedback if you don't go through with the sale. Out of state/country buyers: I will work with your shipper and you are welcome to leave the car with me while you make shipping arrangements. This car is advertised locally and I reserve to end the auction at anytime. On May-08-15 at 10:11:26 PDT. seller added the following information: |
