Description of 1963 Ford Fairlane Custom Ranch Station Wagon

Survivor ready to be upgraded. Solid 1963 Fairlane 500 wagon. freshened up and ready for daily driver. weekend project or modifications. Solid car. straight. as you can see. 260 cid V8 2 barrel carb Holley. New Installation New Points Conversion installed including coil. plugs and wires New Battery New Tires New Shocks Front and rear floorpan sections removed and replaced. There was some rot that I replaced with new steel. The car has no other areas of rust. it was in good shape when I found it and the new floor boards got rid of the few problem areas. the wheel wells. quarters. hood. jambs. roof. tailgate and fenders are clean. I put new weather stripping around the doors to seal the car. New interior carpet. the old one was rotten Car runs and starts. no smoke. No valve ticks or troubles. The engine shows no signs of having been opened so I would say the motor is factory original. Original transmission that has been cleaned up and refreshed. Shifts well. I haven't had it out on the streets much. It hasnt been tagged since I bought it. New torque converter installed as part of transmission rebuild 88. 58 on the odometer. my guess it has been past 100k and this is the second time around. The car was re sprayed in the past. the car is originally a white with red trim car. All three rows of seats are there the front bench has wear and needs a Mexican blanket cover for the easiest solution. The fuel tank has been repaired and re-lined. I had new fuel lines installed. The cars runs and drives. it is a great in-town cruiser. The car is a blast. it came to me as part of another deal so it is time to move it on to someone who wants a unique. quirky. fun and usable station wagon.
