Description of 1954 Ford Other Sunliner Convertible |
This vehicle was purchased as an anniversary gift for my husband. Mileage at purchase in 5/2014 - 1736. He passed away and I am finally ready to let it go to a new home where it can be appreciated and cared for as much as it was in our home. Please ask any and all questions you have PRIOR to bidding. All REASONABLE offers will be considered but please let's not waste time with low-ball offers. I have a lot invested in the car BUT I am realistic about the market value. I am in no hurry to sell so if you truly want the car bring me an offer and I'll work with you. I will NOT pay for any shipping costs but I am willing to help you arrange shipping. $1000 deposit will be required within 7 days of winning bid. Full payment will be required within 21 days of winning bid. Both deposit and payment will need to be in good funds (wire transfer cashier's check money order). Funds will need to CLEAR in my bank and neither vehicle nor title will be released until this is confirmed so please NO SCAMMERS with fake cashier's checks etc. -- you will only be wasting your time and mine. Now about the car. This car had a6-year long frame off / nut & bolt / no expense spared restoration completed in 2006 and has been driven very gently a total of250 miles since purchaseto and from shows and short cruises. Some minor maintenance & repair work was also done recently (I have PDF's of the receipts I can email - it would not let me upload them). This is a really exceptional collector that can still be driven & enjoyed. Featuredon the cover of Collectible Automoblie magazine in April 2006with the ALLNEW for 1954 239.4 cu. in. V8 engine (this was the first year of the Y Block following the retiring of the "Flathead"). It has the Cruiseomatic Transmission Lincoln style ball-joint front suspension Dual exhaust power windows power seat POWER CANVAS SOFT TOPDeluxe AM radio and an Owner's Manual. We were only the 3rd owner. We purchased the car from a dealer in Scottsdale AZ which had the car on consignment by the 2nd owner. This car runs and drives as good as it looks and will not disappoint. Just purchased $120 padded "deluxe shield" car cover specifically for this car and it comes with. Also has brand new battery with a shutoff for storage. I also have PDF's of the cover of the magazine it was on and the cover of the owner's manual that I can email -- again it would not let me upload those.Known defects -- Radio was working but has quit for an unknown reason (have not had it looked at since it quit). Windshield wipers don’t work but who needs them with a convertible. Clock is not working -- we do not know if it is broken or has just been disconnected on purpose so as not to drain the battery. 1 chip on driver’s side hood smaller than dime. 1 small scuff on inner driver's side door. Some other items to note:
Again please ask all questions prior to bidding. I will try to respond quickly. Thanks for looking! |
