This Ford has been in dry storage for more than 45 years. Sometime in the mid sixties someone stripped this car of trim and paint and sprayed it in red primer. There it sat in a building for over 25 years until my friend bought the contents of the building. It was full of auto parts and this coupe. He took it home and put it in a shed and there it sat for 20 more years. My friend passed away and I got the chance to buy this coupe. It is all original except for the few small things I have done. There is absolutely no rust or bodywork on this car. 3 or 4 small dents. As straight as can be. You won't have to look for many parts. It is missing the correct trim on the rear passenger fender and the trim on top of the rear tail light and trunk handle is aftermarket. The plastic dash is new along with the interior. Brakes have been rebuilt and engine has been converted to 12 volt negative ground. It has new wide whites. Runsdrives and stops. I have wired headlights taillightsbrake lights and plate light. The rest of the wiring is dry rotted and needs to be replaced. The steering box is sloppy and I will check it out and see if I can tighten it. It is at the point of what to do. Hot rod restore or drive it like it is. Title is clear and in my name. Stated mileage is actual 66129. Come look and drive it. Car runs excellent and doesn't overheat. This is as an original condition 1948 Ford coupe as you will find. I have all the original parts that came off it. Ready to go to car shows as it sits now. The rubber stone guards on the rear fenders are aftermarket. On May-29-15 at 08:10:37 PDT seller added the following information: Make a reasonable offer if you are interested. I may sell this car to the highest bidder even if it doesn't meet the reserve. This car is the "REAL DEAL" it is original with minor upgrades. Absolutely never any body work or damage just a couple of small dents that look like something fell on it when it was in storage. This car is the perfect base to re-store or just flat blackit and go. I didn't paint it because I didn't want people to thin I was hiding some body damage. I would just clear coat it and drive it while restoring stuff on it. New carbdistributorplugstiresdashinteriorfloor mattrunk mat 12 volt conversion is done. Not missing anything. All parts taken off come with it if you want to go totally original. I think I am the 3rd owner. The 2nd owner never drove it just stored it away. Has the original exhaust on it. Ask questions or come take a drive in it. Thanks for looking.
