Description of 1929 Ford Model A |
This 1929 Model A Tudor Sedan is powered by a reconditioned 4-banger engine with a down-draft Stomberg 97 carburetor on an Ansen manifold with Mallory ignition--all assembled with a post-war hot rod theme in mind. The roof has been chopped 4-1/2 inches giving the car a super cool appearance.Hot rod stance is achieved with 1933-34 17" Ford spoke wheels up front and 1932 18" Ford spoke wheels in back--all color-matched to the engine. All brand new Firestone "gum-dipped" tires. Modern grease-fittings all around. The re-wired 6-volt system works just as it should. New Optima 6-volt battery has been installed with an alternator charging system. Still has mechanical brakes butstops just fine (emergency brake still works). Original 1957 Moon tank mounted up front. Modern shock absorbers installed on front-end. All glass is in good condition and windows roll up-and-down. '37 Ford banjo steering wheel and reconditioned 682-C Guide headlights. No back seat (see pictures).
