Description of 1993 GMC Suburban 1500 4WD

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.

Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1993 GMC Suburban SLE 1500 4x4. The Suburban is a full sized SUV based off of the rugged and reliable C/K trucks and has an excellent reputation for reliability and rugged construction. I would rate the exterior of this Suburban to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, his is a good looking truck. It is finished in black and silver two tone with matching gray cloth interior. As with any older vehicle, lease expect normal wear commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific truck, here are a few small dents and flaws in the paint here and there but well within reason for a vehicle of this age and mileage. The paint shines nicely overall and looks to have been well cared for. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood and doors all open and close easily. There is a small crack along the far side of the windshield so please check your local laws to see if that will need replaced to pass inspection in your state. All of the other glass and lenses are intact. There is some usual rust visible on the chrome bumpers, ut that's about it. The body on this Suburban is in remarkable shape for the age and mileage. Thanks to a full set of running boards, he rockers look to be completely intact. I saw a spot or two of surface rust behind the rear wheels, ut nothing bad. Someone took really good care of this truck...that much is obvious. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully.

I would also rate the interior of this Suburban to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show a few stains but are acceptable for their age. As usual, few interior plastics are loose...no biggie. The power mirrors do not work. However, he power windows, ocks and drivers seat are all still working. The worst I can say about the interior is that the cloth on the headliner has a few rips in it above the front passenger's seat (see photos). The seats are clean and comfortable throughout the interior. Even the folding arm rests are all still intact, hich is uncommon at this age. Access to the 3rd row is easy. The carpet in the cargo area has a few stains, hich is normal. The best thing about a Suburban is that you never have to make a compromise between your ability to carry stuff and your ability to carry people as there is plenty of room for both. However, he rear seat easily pulls out to open up a huge cargo area. Back up front, he original tape deck has been replaced with an aftermarket CD player. It lights up but I didn't have time to mess with it and figure out how to go through all the functions...but it does power on. Additionally, here is a satalite radio reciever still in the cab in case you want to subscribe to that service. The heater seems to be working properly and there is also rear heat. The factory owners books are included.

Mechanically, his Suburban appears to be in good running and driving condition for its age, The 350ci V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Braking is strong and confident. There is some play in the steering so I'd plan on replacing either the ball joints or tie rod ends soon. She gets down the road alright but I'm pretty sure you'll need to have that corrected for most state inspections. The engine keeps proper temperature and excellent oil pressure. She makes good power and feels smooth. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly through all the gears with no issues. Out on the highway, he cruises nice and easily. The 4WD system is the trusty old manual floor lever. She moves in and out of 4WD easily. One last thing I did notice is that the turn signals don't work...and the turn signal lights come on when you press the brake pedal. I've seen this a hundred times with older Chevy's but don't know what causes it...I'm sure it's something simple. If you're looking for a clean old Suburban, ou know how hard it is to find one this age that doesn't look like swiss cheese below the molding line. She'll need a few routine "old truck" service items but you'll have a nice, olid Suburban with very little effort. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
