1959 GMC STEPSIDE PICKUP Folks, we know things happen, but please make sure you cleared to buy when purchasing, several people were very interested in the vehicle, back to the auction we go. We bought this truck back in December of 2015 as part of a package deal (FIVE incredible Impalas 65, 63, 62, 61, 61, plus this beast of a truck). We had to fix her fuel line, refinish wood floor in bed, installed the bench seat, installed headliner, added new battery- other than that, what a find! It will be the same for you as well! 2+ years restoration 1600 miles since completed Near Show Quality or close. Flip a coin, probably as good as it gets! Here you go, If you had $80,000 plus to spend, and over two years of your time, you maybe could come up with a truck like this. Provided, you had the knowledge of which builders to use and how you would envisioned the output... Let's break this down to outside, inside and front-end, suspension and undercarriage. This vehicle is the results of true professionals building and sorting old and new, and creating a one-of-a-kind performance machine! OUTSIDE Straight body, shaved roof rails and emblems Painted Satin Black with a low gloss clear finish, Where there is chrome, there is new - front bumper, light bezels, parking lenses, outer door handles, mirrors, tailgate chains, wiper cowls & billet wiper covers. All glass, frames, and rubber gaskets - new and smoke tinted! Front and back! Bed is mini-tubbed and has wood kit (I think oak or hickory) shows some signs of use, but not damaged. The front GMC grill was replaced with a Chevy grill- beautiful addition! All headlights, tail lights and turn signals work. INSIDE Completely reworked/restored. First soda blasted, like the rest of the body. Painted Ferrari -Rosso-Corsa red. Show Quality! Dash as well. All new- electrical wiring harness, seat frame restored and new foam and new red and black custom cover for the bench. New carpet, floor mats, window cranks, wiper motor and wipers, inner door handles, rear-view mirror, aftermarket stock looking radio with amp and sub behind the bench seat. All new dash- chrome knobs replaced, Ididit chrome tilt steering column and black steering wheel. Billet dash and chrome face gauges. Custom headline in red. Chevy 355, 4 bolt, small block, scat crank, eagle rods, speed pro popup pistons bored .30 over, balanced, blueprinted, true dual-roller timing chain, Chromalloy hardened push rods, 1.5 aluminum roller rockers, Lunati camshaft 528-548 lift cam, World SZ heads, 202.160 exhaust, stainless Manlet value __ rise single intake, 750 Cup Race Demon carburetor, polished long tube headers, Spectre chrome air cleaner & breather, chrome alternator, brackets, & belt system, chrome power steering & pump, MSD ignition & HEI distributor, frame mounter master cylinder, oversized 4 core radiator with polished overflow, Erson valve covers & more! If you priced this motor out today would be well over twenty thousand dollars! Truck hasn't been dynoed, but guessing over five hundred horsepower! Transmission is a 350 with 3000 stall. FRONT-END, SUSPENSION & UNDERCARRIAGE Front-end is a rebuilt transplant of a mustang 2 front clip -rebuilt/restored with disc brakes. Full front and rear coil-over adjustable suspension with four-link in the rear and 9 inch rear-end with disc brakes. Posi-traction with 350 gears. Gas tank relocated under the bed of the truck with billet fill intake in bed of truck. Truck sits on staggered set of chrome 20? B/G wheels. Lug pattern is Chevy 5x4-3/4 front & back. This was the info we got when we bought her. She sits under 3M film until she is needed for our indoor car shows, then she is uncovered, cleaned again and stanchioned off for show.
