Description of 1975 GMC Jimmy |
Rare 1975 jimmy 4x4 with factory 350/350/203. Original California Truck was brought to oklahoma about a year and a half ago. Bought as a nice build project but haven't got around to it and need to finish others. Truck has original drivetrain and transmission was rebuilt at some point. I am confident that you can drive this truck home anywhere. I have driven it to Dallas twice with no issues which is about a 3 hour drive. Great candidate for a project or daily driver. I put in late model chevy seats because I like shoulder belts in the front. Has factory rear bench. Carpet was removed because it was bad and I didn't get around to putting new in. Does have a new floor pan put in on drivers side because the factory rubber pad under the carpet held moisture and rotted it from the inside out. No rust under the truck. It was from California and when I cut out the old floor pan you could see the front cab support was still shiny metal like new with no rot. Truck was also under coated by original dealer. which is starting to peel revealing like new metal with not even surface rust. All rockers are solid with no evidence of rust. The only damage I have noticed is the tailgate and right rear quarter panel from the factory tire carrier and below it someone brushed against something at one time. The left rear quarter does have a few spots of corrosion from where the inner fender touches the inside. both easy fixes. Overall this is the best looking starter I have seen for a jimmy of this era. Runs and drives great. I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Happy bidding! |
