Description of 1970 International Harvester Scout 800A

1970 SCOUT 800A I’ve owned more than two dozen 800 model Scout’s since age 16. I’m 45 now. This particular one is one of the finest. This is the last full year of the 800 model and this rig sports its original awesome shade of blue. I have never seen this amazing color on one before. It has been repainted. The body is in amazing shape and the Scout has lived in dry south Texas its whole life. I recently found it and swore I would never sell it! But things have come up. This is a factory V8 Scout with a standard three speed floor shift transmission and four wheel drive. Both engine and transmission are real strong. It had a rare dealer option PTO winch. the original winch bumper remains. the original winch was replaced for an electric. The Scout has its original floors and they are in great shape! Of course the hard top unbolts and comes off. The 304 V8 holds good oil pressure. and the turn signals work. horn works. electric wipers work. headlights and brake lights work. The Scout has current Texas inspection and a clear Texas title. The tires are older but have lots of tread. One of the locking hubs has a issue. so the Scout comes with a new pair to install. The Scout has bucket seats but it rear seat is missing. They can be found on eBay or many of the Scout supply companies. This is a very nice Scout. Put it under your Christmas tree. you deserve it!
