Description of 1967 International Harvester Scout |
For sale is my 1967 scout 800. I hope the photos do this truck justice the truck is in good shape. The Scout is running and driving. this has been my daily driver for some time now. This truck has a factory IH 266ci V8 that is running strong and will easily drive up a hill or do 65 on the freeway when needed. This is a strong running truck it's not show quality yet but it is well built and most of the hard stuff has already been done. All that's needed now is paint and a few cosmetic touches. THE OVERALL CONDITION:As seen in the pictures the truck has a flat black primer and with just a little prep work could be ready for paint. The truck has the Half Cab on it but I also have a new bikini top that also comes with the truck for those summer days when you want to pop the top. The doors have been hung using new removable hinges that make taking the doors on and off quick and easy when u want to run no doors. I am including in this sale a second set of doors that are COMPLETE with all the original glass door handles and arm rests. All that is needed is some light rust repair where the hinges were and they are as good as new. The Scout still has one of the original saddle bag gass tanks installed on the passenger side which I have never used and it is currently disconnected. I have been running a fuel cell which is installed in the bed of the Scout. There was one 12x14 section of rust in the bed of the truck that had some rust. however that has already be cut out but will still need to be fully patched. It is located just under the fuel cell. The lights and turn signals work however not all of the gauges work. As mentioned before the truck is solid and a good runner for being a 47 year old truck. The gaskets on the motor and tranny will need to be replaced soon. no major leaking issues but they are starting to leak a little. NEW OR REPLACED PARTS:- Plantronix Electric ignition. (professionally done) - New Painless wiring harness. (professionally done) - New Warn hubs (professionally done) - New 4:27 gears in the rear end (professionally done) - New brake lines (professionally done) - New leaf springs front and rear (professionally done) - New u bolts (professionally done) - New heavy duty Shackles (professionally done) - New knuckles on the front axles (professionally done) - New shocks at all four corners (professionally done) - 31" x 12. 50 15 mud tires (70% tread left) - Newer bucket seats out of a late model chevy - Fuel cell in truck bed - New exhaust system (professionally done) - New roll bar & bikini top - Second set of doors (complete with all glass still intact) I tried to be as detailed as I could in my description of the truck. however feel free to message me with any additional questions. |
