The iconic Jaguar XKE (also known as the E-type) is arguably the most beautiful car ever designed. This example is a Series II left-hand drive USA model with a 4.2L inline-six engine and twin Stromberg Carburetors for the US market. It's a consigned car and is only with it's second owner! The vehicle was originally driven for a hand full of miles by Butler Imports Limited on the MSO and then sold to the first owner on 02/20/1971. The vehicle has seen several in depth refresh services over the years. Currently, the engine is strong and in 2015/2016 had a another refresh performed by Muncie-Imports (see details below). After arrival at Gator, the horn and brake lights were brought back into service. Commensurate with the price, there are still some unaddressed mechanical and electrical issues that do not currently interfere with the car's drivability, but the new owner may desire to service. Note: Odometer does not reflect actual miles. Currently reads 11,260. Exact actual mileage is unknown. In 1991 is was documented to have 46,000 miles and the current owner stated the car was rarely driven during the last few years of the original purchaser's ownership. The current owners believes the mileage to be about 59,000. 2010 refresh - $6,783 (first owner)Replace fuel tank and clean partsRepair fuel guage sending unit and cleanFlush lines and replace fuel pump and old hosesRebuild carbs and replace fuel hoses and filterBalance, tune, and free up secondary butterfliesR&R Distributor and free up advance and clean corrosionReplace points set and timeReplace Clutch master and slave cylinder and cleanReplace brake master cylinder, R&R and cleanBrake power booster and cylinder and replace hosesClean reservoir flush and bleed systemReplace brake past front and rearInstall cooling system hose kit and replace clamps and flush systemPressure wash motor compartments and suspensionClean chrome and buffR&R wheels and clean corrosionDetail paint and bodyClean and service hubsAlign front end 2015/2016 refresh - $30,451.45 (second owner) Replaced seat covers, headrest covers, carpet, sillsRepainted, new body rubberInterior refreshTrailing arm bushingsNew batteryNew convertible topTach rebuildNew brake padsNew wheels and kockoffs (have original wheels and knock offs if desired)Seats and carpets from Original Spec Jaguar InteriorsThe vehicle comes with:Original purchase receipts from 1971.
