Description of 1968 Jaguar E-Type |
1968 Jaguar Etype **** Price Reduced to $37,500.00**** NADA Values : Low $23,400 Average $36,300 High $70,700 In my opinion a very nice coupe version of the Jaguar Etype should be $75K. ** An automatic version just sold for almost $48K!The automatic cars do not compare to the manual versions.I have owned numerous of both. This is a very nice classic Jaguar Etype coupe. It is a manual version of the 2+2.Also keep in mind that the 1968 Etype was a one year production model. (only 1200 cars in manual shift!)I believe this will make it continue to go up in value. The car has 69,436 showing on the odometer.I have the Heritage certificate. This Etype has had a serious amount of work done.I do have quite a few receipts. It is not perfect, but nice and can be driven now. This car runs cool, and very good.I just replaced both drive shaft universals. It could use some tuning on the carbs.Look at the photos and you can get an idea of how much work has been put into this car.The paint is nice with a few flaws . (tiny ding in bonnet)The bonnet needs adjusting (should close tighter)The interior is also very nice with a few flaws. All guages work along with the radio and even the clock. The chrome, glass, etc. are also in good condition. The underbody is in good shape. **** (see photo)It has a very expensive set of wheels, and besides looking beautiful, will serve you much better than the stock wires. The tires are in very good condition also. The car has covered headlights which make it look like a series one. When you look under the bonnet it will blow your mind. The engine according to the former owner was rebuilt around 25,000 miles ago.It does leak some. I just replaced the valve cover gaskets and changed the valve covers back to a very nice stock set.It also has a very expensive triple carb setup.**** (I will include the original carbs) ****Drive it as is or take it to the next level. This car is a great buy! and will only go up in value. ****Remember this car is 48 years old and with any old classic there is always something to do.****Please ask questions before bidding. Sold as is/ No warranty. Thanks. https:youtu.be/fcy66hchdqg https:youtu.be/xwmtic-ih4w |
